This here pag240 1cr pathfinder, it’s somethin’ else, I tell ya. My grandson, he got me one of these watchamajigs. Says it’s good for knowin’ where you’re goin’. Me? I just go where my feet take me. But this thing, it’s got all sorts of doohickeys on it.

He says it’s a Casio. Fancy name, huh? Sounds like somethin’ you’d hear on the radio. He showed me how it works, but I forgot most of it already. Too many buttons for this old gal. But I do remember some things. This Casio PAG240-1CR Pathfinder, it’s like havin’ a little weatherman on your wrist.

One thing, it tells ya how high up ya are. He called it an “al-ti-meter”. Like, if you’re climbin’ a hill, it’ll tell ya how far up you’ve gone. Don’t rightly know why I’d need that, but there ya go. Ain’t never climbed no mountains. Just the little hill behind the old church back home.

And it can tell ya the weather, too. Somethin’ about “bar-o-met-ric” pressure. I just look at the sky, usually. If it’s dark and cloudy, you best be grabbin’ your umbrella. But this Casio Pathfinder Watch, it’s supposed to tell ya even before the clouds come in. Smart little gadget, I guess.

You can even wear it when you’re in the water! It says right here that you can swim with it, but I don’t do no swimming, just go to the sink to wash my hands. But I won’t put this in the water, you know. I’m afraid to ruin it. It’s a good watch. My grandson, he says it’s a “Pathfinder” watch. Means it helps you find your way, he says. Like I said, I just go where my feet take me.

  • Water Resistant: Good for swimmin’, they say.
  • Altimeter: Tells ya how high up you are.
  • Barometer: Tells ya about the weather comin’.
  • Digital: Means it’s got them number things, not the hands like on the old clock.

He got me a book with it, too. A “manual,” he called it. Casio pag240-1cr User Manuals, it’s all about how to use this thing. It’s got a lot of pages, ten of ’em. Lots of writin’ and pictures. I tried readin’ it, but it’s all gibberish to me. Too many words I don’t understand. I asked him to read it to me, but he said I need to learn by myself. How can I learn a thing like this at my age, huh?

This Casio PAG240-1CR, it’s a tough little thing, though. He says it’s like them “G-Shock” watches. Heard of them on the TV. They say you can drop ’em and they won’t break. I ain’t gonna try that, though. Don’t wanna break my new watch. My grandson, he says this one’s called the “all-digital Pathfinder Sport PAG240-1CR.” Sounds important, don’t it?

He keeps talkin’ about “features.” This watch got features. More features than a dog’s got fleas, I reckon. He says it’s a “professional tool.” Like somethin’ a carpenter would use. I just use it to tell the time, mostly. And sometimes I press the buttons just to see what happens. Makes me feel like I’m doin’ somethin’ important.

This here pag240 1cr pathfinder, it’s a mystery to me, but it’s kinda fun, too. Like havin’ a little computer on your wrist. My grandson, he’s always messin’ with them computers. Says they’re the future. Maybe he’s right. Maybe this old gal needs to learn a thing or two about the future.

Now, he said somethin about “charging” it. Said it runs on the sun. Can you believe that? Runnin’ on sunshine. Like them solar-powered things they sell on the TV. Said I just gotta leave it out in the sun every now and then. Well, that’s easy enough. Plenty of sunshine around here.

I don’t know much about this watch, I only know this is a Casio PAG240-1CR. But I like it. It makes me feel like I’m keepin’ up with the times. Even if I don’t understand half of what it does. It’s like a little piece of the future, right here on my wrist. And who knows, maybe this old gal will learn a thing or two yet. Maybe I’ll even learn how to use that “al-ti-meter” thingy. Wouldn’t that be somethin’?
