Nike Hyperdunk 2013: Where to Buy and Is It Worth It?

by Marvin Connie

Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get back into playing ball regularly, and I figured my old kicks just weren’t cutting it anymore. I remembered really liking the Hyperdunk line back in the day, so I started looking into what was out there. That’s when I stumbled upon some listings for the Hyperdunk 2013. Nostalgia hit me hard, and I decided I had to try and find a pair.

The Hunt Begins

First, I hit up the usual online marketplaces. I scrolled through a bunch of listings, checking for my size and a decent condition. It was a bit of a mixed bag – some were beat up, others were way overpriced, and some just looked…off. You know, like maybe not the real deal.

I am very picky about the color of the shoes, it has to be very eye-catching on the court, I spent a lot of time, I was looking at different shoes that I like the color, I kept looking, a pair of shoes to go with my jersey and shorts!

Getting My Hands on Them

After a bit of searching, I finally found a pair that looked promising. The photos showed minimal wear, the right size (thank goodness!), and the price was reasonable. I messaged the seller a few questions, just to be sure, and after a quick back-and-forth, I pulled the trigger and bought them.

First Impressions

When that box showed up, I was so excited. I ripped it open and there they were – the Hyperdunk 2013s, looking even better in person. I slipped them on, and man, that familiar snug fit and comfy cushioning were still there.

I took a few practice shots in my driveway, and the grip felt great. The ankle support felt solid too. I felt so cool in my new bright shoes!

Taking Them to the Court

Finally, I took them to the court for a real test run. I played a few pickup games, and honestly, they performed great. I felt quick on my feet, the cushioning was responsive, and I had no problem cutting and changing direction. Plus, I got a few compliments on them, which is always a nice bonus!

  • The grip help me a lot when I run very fast.
  • The shoes are very light, I can jump high.
  • I feel good when wearing these shoes.

Overall, I’m super happy with my “rediscovered” Hyperdunk 2013s. It just goes to show that sometimes, the older stuff is still gold. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go shoot some hoops!
