Okay, here’s my blog post about the “Doctor Strange Watch”, written from my personal experience, in a casual, conversational style, using basic HTML tags:

So, I saw this thing online – a replica of Doctor Strange’s watch. You know, the one from the movie? Looked kinda cool, and I’m a bit of a Marvel nerd, so I figured, why not? I decided to try and make something like it myself.
First, I scoured the internet for pictures. I needed good reference images, front, back, sides – the whole shebang. Found some decent ones after a bit of digging. Screenshots from the movie were helpful too, especially for getting the details right.
Gathering Supplies
Next, I had to figure out what I actually needed. Obviously, I wasn’t going to make a real working watch. This was more about the look. Here’s what i used:
- An old, broken watch. I had it in drawer.
- Some gold-ish paint. Found some at a craft store.
- Super glue. Because, well, everything needs super glue.
- Some thin cardboard. For the back.
- A tiny paintbrush. For, those detail.
The Build (aka Messy Fun)
I started by taking apart the old watch. This was surprisingly tricky! Tiny screws, tiny springs… I almost lost a few. Note to self: work on a large, clear surface next time.
Once I had the watch face and casing separated, I got to painting. I gave the casing a couple of coats of the gold paint, letting it dry in between. It wasn’t perfect, but it looked…passable. Good enough for my amateur attempt, anyway.

The trickiest part was the back. In the movie, the watch has this cool inscription, right? “Time will tell you how much I love you.” Cheesy, but iconic. I printed out the text in a fancy font, sized it down, and then carefully cut it out. Glued it onto the thin cardboard, then trimmed the cardboard to fit the back of the watch.
Then I am carefully glued everthing together. I waited and waited for it to be dry.
The Final Result
It’s not a perfect replica, not by a long shot. The paint job is a little uneven, and the inscription is obviously just printed paper. But, you know what? It looks pretty cool sitting on my desk. And it was fun to make! It’s a reminder that sometimes, it’s fun to just make something, even if it’s a bit silly.
I have a self-made Doctor Strange watch now!
