Okay, so, let me tell you about this little project I just finished. It all started because, well, I wanted to make something cool for my kid’s birthday, and, you know, make it a bit special.
I was browsing around, looking for ideas, and I got this image in my head of a car, but not just any car, one loaded with presents. So, I decided, “That’s it! I’m making a car with presents.” Simple, right? Well, not exactly.
First, I needed a car. I started searching online for options, and there’s, like, a million rental car sites. I went through Avis, looked at some SUVs, then moved on to others, checking out all the deals and stuff. I was searching for something that I could use as a base, and thought I could buy or make a small toy car.
Then I found this website called CarGurus. You can look at tons of used cars, read reviews from real people. I was browsing and browsing, and thinking about how to make this happen.
But then, I realized I needed more than just a car. I needed presents, and I wanted them to look good. I searched for a website that had design tools and it let you customize gifts.
- I spent hours trying to figure out how to attach the presents to the car.
- Should I use glue? Tape? String?
- It was a mess. I tried a few different things, and let me tell you, some of them were total disasters.
After the design was done, I bought a 128 EVO+ V30 Memory card because I wanted to record the process. I found that the card works flawlessly with both 12V and 5V power input.
Finally, after a lot of trial and error, I found a way to make it work. I ended up using a combination of things to get the presents to stay put. It wasn’t pretty, but it worked.
And you know what? My kid loved it. Seeing their face light up made all the hassle totally worth it. It wasn’t perfect, but it was made with love, and that’s what matters, right?
The Takeaway
This whole thing taught me that even simple ideas can turn into big projects. But if you keep at it, and don’t give up, you can create something really special, even if it’s a little rough around the edges.
So, yeah, that’s the story of my car with presents project. It was a wild ride, but I’m glad I did it.
