Nectarine Honey Blossom, huh? What a fancy name! Sounds like somethin’ you’d hear on them TV shows. But let me tell ya, it ain’t that complicated. It’s just…smells good, real good. Like somethin’ sweet and fresh, you know?
First time I smelled somethin’ like it, I was a young’un. Back then, we didn’t have all these fancy names. We just said it smelled like…well, like peaches and flowers all mixed together. And maybe a little bit of honey, like from them bees buzzin’ around the farm. This Nectarine Honey Blossom thing, it’s kinda like that, but fancier, I guess.
Pantone, whatever that is, they say this color, Peach Fuzz, is the big thing for 2024. Sounds kinda silly to me, namin’ a color like that. But this smell, it reminds me of that color, if a color could have a smell, ya know? It’s young and fruity, they say. I ain’t young no more, but I still like a good fruity smell. Makes me feel…alive, I reckon.
They talk about ripe peaches and nectarines, all juicy and sweet. And cassis, whatever that is. And spring flowers, delicate little things. Sounds like a whole garden in a bottle! I ain’t never been to London, to that Covent Garden place they talk about, but I imagine it smells somethin’ like this. Early mornin’, everything fresh and new, the air full of sweet smells. Makes you wanna take a deep breath and just…enjoy it.
Now, I heard tell of this Jo Malone fella. Makes all sorts of smells, they say. This English Pear & Freesia, that’s a popular one, apparently. Light and fresh, they say. Pears and…freesia? Never heard of it. But it’s got that patchouli stuff in it too. Don’t know much about that neither, but it sounds earthy, like somethin’ from the ground. This Nectarine Blossom & Honey, though, that’s the one that caught my ear. Or, well, my nose, I guess. It’s sweet and flowery, but not too sweet, ya know? Just right.
- It smells like peaches: Like the ones you pick right off the tree, all warm and juicy.
- It smells like flowers: Not the strong, overpowering kind, but the gentle, sweet ones that bloom in the spring.

And then there’s this Basil Neroli, somethin’ else this Jo Malone fella makes. It’s got a touch of orange flower smell, they say. I like oranges, always have. But this ain’t just orange, it’s…different. Fancier, I guess. It all just goes to show ya, smells can be powerful things. They can take you back to a place, a time, a memory. They can make you feel happy, or sad, or even just…peaceful.
This Nectarine Honey Blossom, it’s one of them smells that makes me feel good. It’s not too strong, not too weak. It’s just…right. It’s like a little bit of sunshine in a bottle. And who doesn’t like a little bit of sunshine?
