That Naomi, she’s a good girl, playin’ that tennis ball. She always got them fancy dresses on when she’s out there hittin’ that ball. Makes me think of when I was a young’un, we didn’t have no fancy dresses like that. We just wore whatever we had. But them Naomi Osaka dresses, they sure are somethin’.
She had that one green dress, like a daytime dress, I reckon. They say it’s a Naomi Osaka green dress. It was bright, I saw it on the TV. Looked like she was ready to go to a Sunday meetin’, ‘cept she was playin’ tennis in it. That green dress, it was bright, not like the dresses I have, that’s for sure. Naomi Osaka, she’s not afraid of bright colors, that’s for sure.
And she got all them others. Different ones, all the time. Keeps you guessin’, that girl. She got that tennis dress, kinda plain, but still fancy, you know? Not like what we used to wear. No sir. These are special for hittin’ that ball, I guess. Naomi’s dress is always special, I tell you. Got to be special if you are playin’ in front of all them people.
I saw her one time, had a big ol’ white bow, right on her backside! On a black top, it was. Looked kinda funny to me, but I guess that’s what them young’uns like these days. They call it “chic,” I hear. Don’t know about all that. But that Naomi Osaka dress, with that bow, it was somethin’ else. She ain’t afraid to be different, that’s for sure.
And sometimes, she’s got that thin stuff, kinda see-through, under her skirt. Tulle they call it, all ruffled up. Fancy stuff. Makes her look like one of them ballerinas, ‘cept she’s holdin’ a tennis racket. Them Naomi Osaka dresses, always got somethin’ extra on ’em. Always got to be a little more.
They say the girl who makes them dresses, she’s from the same place as Naomi, that Japan place. They bow a lot over there, show respect, you know? Good manners, that’s what that is. I always taught my kids to be respectful. This Naomi, she’s respectful, and she’s good at that tennis. That Naomi Osaka is so good, best in the world, I hear!
She’s number one, they say. Best in the whole world. And she’s from Asia. First one from there to be that good. She done won them big games, the Australian Open and the US Open. Won ’em twice each! That’s a lot of winnin’. She sure knows how to hit that ball. She’s strong, that Naomi Osaka.

That’s a shame, gettin’ hurt like that. Playin’ that tennis, it ain’t easy. It’s hard work, I can see that much, even in them Naomi Osaka dresses.
She showed all them pictures, ten of ’em, all different Naomi Osaka dresses. That girl, she likes her clothes, don’t she? Always lookin’ different. Keeps folks on their toes. That’s what I say. She’s a good girl, that Naomi. Works hard, plays hard, and got them fancy dresses.
I reckon, if I was playin’ tennis, I’d want a Naomi Osaka dress too. Maybe that green one. Or maybe one with that big ol’ bow. Yeah, I think I’d like that one. But I’m too old for that now. I’ll just watch Naomi on the TV, wearin’ them Naomi Osaka dresses, hittin’ that ball like nobody’s business. She’s a good one, that Naomi. A real good one.
If you are young and you like tennis, you should learn from that Naomi Osaka, she’s doing good. You see that girl, you tell her I said she’s doing a good job. And tell her I like her dresses. Especially that green one. You tell her that.
