Okay, so I’ve been a Sephora Rouge member for, like, ever. And one of the perks is getting a special birthday gift. This year, I was stoked because I heard rumors it was something pretty good. So, here’s how it all went down.
First, I got the email. You know, the usual “Happy Birthday Month!” one from Sephora. I usually skim those, but this time I paid attention because, hello, free gift! I opened it up and saw that I could choose my gift online or in-store.
I decided to go in-store because, honestly, I just love browsing around Sephora. I drove over to my local store, gift email ready on my phone, and headed straight for the checkout.
I showed the cashier my email and my Rouge card (gotta prove I’m legit, right?). She smiled and asked which gift I wanted. There were a few options, usually a skincare set and a makeup set, and sometimes a fragrance mini. This year, they were offering :
- A mini skincare routine set.
- Another makeup kit, with mini eyeliner and lipstick.
I picked the makeup kit, because the last one isn’t my type.
The cashier grabbed the gift from behind the counter, scanned my Rouge card, and handed it over. No purchase necessary! It felt like a little victory.
I walked out of the store feeling pretty good. Free makeup, just for having a birthday and spending a ridiculous amount of money at Sephora throughout the year… It’s the little things, right?
