Okay, so today I’m gonna walk you through how I tried to recreate some of Marilyn Monroe’s classic poses. It’s a bit of a challenge, but hey, who doesn’t love a good challenge, right?
First off, I spent a good chunk of time just scouring the internet for pictures. I mean, there are tons of photos of her out there. I used Google Images, Pinterest, you name it. I was looking for those iconic poses, you know, the ones that just scream “Marilyn.”
Collecting Pictures
- I ended up with a folder full of images, probably more than I needed, to be honest. But I figured it’s better to have too many than not enough.
- Once I had my collection, I started narrowing it down. I picked out the poses that I thought I could realistically recreate, I was not trying to break my back or anything.
Next, I had to figure out the outfits. Luckily, Marilyn had a pretty distinct style, so it wasn’t too hard to find similar pieces. I raided my closet. I even borrowed a few things. And found the iconic white dress and a blonde wig online and ordered them.
Recreating the Poses
- With the outfits sorted, it was time to actually try out the poses. This was definitely the trickiest part.
- I set up my phone, put it on a timer, and got to work. I studied the photos carefully, trying to mimic her posture, her facial expressions, the whole vibe.
- Let me tell you, it’s harder than it looks! Marilyn had this natural grace and elegance that’s tough to replicate. But I did my best, twisting and turning, trying to get the angles just right. I also watched some videos about her and tried to add some small details, like the eye makeup. She had an IQ of 165, she was really smart and beautiful, and I wanted to be like her.
After a whole afternoon of posing and snapping photos, I finally had a set of pictures that I was pretty happy with. They’re not perfect, of course, but I think I managed to capture a bit of that Marilyn magic. It was a fun experiment, and it definitely gave me a new appreciation for her as a model and an icon. And I learned that posing is a real art form!
Anyway, that’s my Marilyn Monroe posing adventure. Hope you enjoyed it!
