Mahomes 1 Impact FLX: Is It Worth Your Money?

by Doreen Robbins

Okay, let’s talk about this Mahomes 1 Impact FLX thing. I’ve been eyeing these shoes for a while because, you know, Patrick Mahomes, the football guy, right? I mean, he’s everywhere, and these are his signature training shoes from Adidas.

So, I finally decided to grab a pair. First off, getting them was a bit of a hunt. Not all stores have them, had to go through a reseller named GOAT. When they arrived, the first thing I noticed was how they’re built like a sock. They call it “tongueless bootie construction.” Basically, you just slip your foot in, and it’s supposed to fit snugly.

I started wearing them around the house, just to break them in. Felt pretty good, comfy enough. Then I took them to the gym. I did some lifting, some running on the treadmill, a bit of everything. They were stable, which is good when you’re lifting weights, and they had a nice bounce to them when I was running.

  • Fit: It’s true to size, at least for me. The sock-like fit is nice and snug without being too tight.
  • Comfort: These are pretty comfortable, even after wearing them for a few hours. No complaints here.
  • Performance: I feel like they help me perform better at the gym. Whether that’s just in my head or not, who knows, but I feel more confident when I’m working out in these.
  • Style: Let’s be honest, they look cool. I got the ‘Play Time’ colorway, and they definitely stand out.

The Weird Price Thing

Now, here’s something kinda weird I found out. Apparently, Mahomes has this deal with Adidas, and they’re selling some Texas Tech jerseys, his old college team, for more money than his Kansas City Chiefs jerseys. That just feels backward to me, you know? But I guess that’s just business. There was this quote from someone at Adidas saying how working with Patrick is “an incredible showcase” and stuff about collaboration. Seems like they have a good thing going, I guess. Oh, and they also have this “Team Mahomes” thing at Texas Tech, some kind of student-athlete sponsorship program. That’s cool, I guess, giving back to the school.

Anyway, back to the shoes. They are good and I like how they perform during my workout sessions. Definitely a solid choice if you’re looking for a new pair of training shoes and want to feel a little bit like an MVP. They definitely helped elevate my game and confidence!
