So, I’ve been wanting to pamper myself lately, you know, just a little something to make me feel good. And what better way than getting a fresh set of nails? I decided to hit up this place downtown called “Lovely Nails.” Heard some good things about it, so I figured, why not give it a shot?
First off, I called them up to check their hours. They’re open from 10 AM to 7 PM, Tuesday through Friday. Closed on Mondays, which is a bummer, but hey, everyone needs a day off, right? Anyway, I booked an appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
When I walked in, I was hit with this clean, welcoming vibe. I mean this place was really clean and you could see the care they took, it did not feel like some places I went to before. No chemical smells, just good vibes. The staff were super friendly, all smiles and hellos. They got me seated right away, offered me some water, and started chatting about what I wanted.
Choosing the right design
- They had like a million colors and designs to choose from. Okay, maybe not a million, but you get the idea. It was a little overwhelming, not gonna lie.
- I ended up going for this simple, kind of classy design.
- I saw a picture of some winter nail trends they’ve got, and I picked one. They didn’t have the same colors, but they worked it out to make it fit for me!
The nail tech, her name was Hannah, she was a total pro. We chatted about everything and nothing while she worked her magic. She was gentle, precise, and honestly, it was kind of relaxing just watching her do her thing. It’s like she knew what she was doing, and what I wanted even before I could articulate it.
She shaped my nails perfectly, cleaned up my cuticles, and then the fun part – the polish! We went back and forth on a few shades, but finally settled on a really pretty shade. Two coats of that, a top coat, and bam! Done.
I swear, I spent a good five minutes just staring at my hands when she was finished. They looked amazing! The whole experience was just what I needed. It wasn’t just about the nails, it was the whole vibe of the place, the friendly staff, the relaxing atmosphere. It felt really good to just take some time for myself and do something that made me feel good.
If you’re ever in downtown and need a little pick-me-up, I definitely recommend checking out Lovely Nails. It’s a solid spot, and I’ll for sure be going back. My nails still look great, and every time I look at them, I get a little mood boost. Totally worth it!
