Okay, so I saw this “Louboutin Fingernail Polish” thing trending, and I was like, “What the heck is that?” I’m not usually one for super fancy stuff, but the pictures looked kinda cool, so I decided to give it a shot. My nails are usually a mess, so anything is an improvement, honestly.

The Hunt Begins
First, I tried to find actual Louboutin polish. Yeah, that was a joke. It’s, like, ridiculously expensive. Nope, not happening. So, Plan B: get the look without, you know, selling a kidney.
DIY Time
I grabbed some basic polishes I had lying around – a bright red and a black. Nothing fancy, just regular stuff from the drugstore.
- Step 1: I painted all my nails with the red polish. Two coats, because I’m clumsy and always mess up the first one.
- Step 2: This is where it got tricky. I flipped my hand over and, very, very carefully, painted the underside of my nails with the black polish. It was awkward, and I definitely got some on my skin, but whatever.
- Step 3: I used one of the bobby pins to try to reach the nail tips from underneath.
The Result (and Some Clean-Up)
Okay, it wasn’t perfect. The black polish under the nails was a little uneven in spots, but from the top, it looked pretty good! I used a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover to clean up the edges and any black polish that got on my skin. Took a few tries, but I got there.
Honestly, it’s a fun little trick! It’s not something I’d do every day, but for a special occasion or just to feel a little extra, it’s pretty cool. And way cheaper than actual Louboutin polish. My nails felt kinda fancy, even if they were still a bit short and stubby. I felt pretty accomplished, even though it was just nail polish.
