Las Vegas May 5 Deals: Hotels & Flights (Save Big on Your Trip!)

by Afra Jennings

Okay, so May 5th in Vegas, huh? Let me tell you, it was a bit of a whirlwind. I’d been planning this trip for a while, mainly to check out some new restaurants and maybe catch a show. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, especially since things have been kinda up and down with, you know, everything.

Las Vegas May 5 Deals: Hotels & Flights (Save Big on Your Trip!)

First thing I did was book a flight. I’m a bit of a cheapskate, so I spent a good hour or two comparing prices and flight times. Ended up finding a decent deal with a not-too-terrible layover. Score!

The Arrival

When I landed, the first thing that hit me was the heat. Man, it was like walking into an oven! I grabbed my bag and hopped in a taxi, the taxi was a little old, and the driver gave me the lowdown on all the new stuff happening on the Strip. Seems like there’s always something new popping up there.

I checked into my hotel. Nothing super fancy, I’d say it was pretty standard. You know, clean room, comfy bed, the basics. I just needed a place to crash after all the eating and exploring I planned on doing.

Food, Food, and More Food

The main event for me, as always, was the food. I’d made a list of places I wanted to try, a mix of fancy spots and some more, like, down-to-earth joints. It all tasted so good.

  • First up: A fancy steakhouse. Went all out, got the dry-aged ribeye. Worth every penny.
  • Next day: I wanted something a bit lighter, so I hit up this little taco place. I grabbed it and quickly wolfed it down.
  • And then: I found this amazing bakery. Let’s just say I may have gone back twice… or thrice.

In between all the eating, I did manage to walk around a bit. Checked out some of the casinos, did a little window shopping (my wallet thanked me), and people-watched. Vegas is prime people-watching territory, let me tell you.

The Show

I did end up seeing a show. It was one of those classic Vegas magic shows. Lots of lights, loud music, and some pretty impressive illusions. I’m still trying to figure out how they did some of those tricks.

Wrapping Up

So, yeah, that was my May 5th in Vegas. A lot of eating, a bit of walking, and a whole lot of sensory overload. I packed up my stuff and headed back to the airport. My experience was great, and I hope to visit again in the future.
