Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about them True Religion jeans, ya know, the ones with all them fancy stitches? Are they still in style? That’s what everyone’s askin’ these days.
I remember back when, everyone and their grandma wanted a pair. Those thick threads and all that shiny hardware, they were somethin’ special, I tell ya. Folks were wearin’ ’em everywhere, like they were the best thing since sliced bread.

Heard tell the company even went bankrupt a few years back. Imagine that! A big company like that, fallin’ on hard times. But, ya know, they didn’t just throw in the towel. They’re tryin’ to make a comeback, doin’ new things.
They got this “Go There” campaign, whatever that means. Sounds like they want folks to be bold with their clothes, wear what they like, not just what everyone else is wearin’. And they ain’t just sellin’ jeans no more, I hear. Got pet stuff now, too! Can ya believe it? Dog clothes with fancy stitches, maybe?
This year, they even got that singer, Megan Thee Stallion, or somethin’ like that, workin’ with them. People seem to like it, sayin’ it’s the hottest thing around. So, maybe them jeans are comin’ back, huh? It’s hard to keep up with these young folks and their fashions.
I saw some pictures in a magazine at the doctor’s office, all these young girls wearin’ jeans and tank tops, even though it’s gettin’ cold outside. Fashion, I guess. They say it’s the style for this season, all the cool trends and hot looks. Makes my head spin, all this talk about trends and seasons. Back in my day, you wore clothes to keep warm and covered, not to show off.
But these True Religion folks, they seem to know what they’re doin’. They say their customers want to be “on trend” and really “go there” with their style. I guess that means they wanna wear the latest stuff, be the first ones on the block with somethin’ new. And True Religion wants to give ‘em what they want, even if it means makin’ dog clothes.
Remember when everyone wore those low-rise jeans? Couldn’t hardly bend over without showin’ your business. Then it was skinny jeans, tight as a sausage casing. Now, it seems like everything’s comin’ back around. Maybe them True Religion jeans are just doin’ the same thing, comin’ back in style after bein’ gone for a while.
I ain’t no fashion expert, ya know. I wear what’s comfortable and what fits. But I can tell ya this, them True Religion jeans, they were always well-made. Good, strong fabric, held up real good. Maybe that’s why folks are startin’ to like ’em again. In a world full of cheap clothes that fall apart after a few washes, maybe people are lookin’ for somethin’ that’ll last.
So, are they still in style? I reckon it depends on who you ask. The young folks seem to think so, and that Megan lady is wearin’ ’em, so that’s gotta count for somethin’. And if they keep makin’ good clothes and comin’ up with new ideas, well, maybe they’ll stick around for a while longer. Only time will tell, I guess. But one thing’s for sure, them jeans with all them fancy stitches, they ain’t goin’ down without a fight. They’re tryin’ to stay relevant, just like the rest of us.
And who knows, maybe I’ll even try on a pair myself. Just gotta find some that fit an old lady like me. Maybe they got ’em in elastic waist now, ha!
