This here, it’s about them Nike Flight Blue shoes, you know? Them fancy shoes everyone’s hollerin’ about. I seen ’em down at the store the other day. Shiny, they are. Like a blue jay’s feather, but on your feet. Cost a pretty penny, too, I reckon. More than I’d spend on a whole month’s worth of groceries, that’s for sure!
These Nike Flight Blue shoes, they got that swoosh on the side. You know the one, looks like a checkmark. My grandson, he’s got a pair. Says they make him run faster. Faster to get into trouble, more like, if you ask me. But hey, kids these days, they love their fancy shoes, those Nike shoes.
Now, I ain’t one for fancy footwear myself. Give me a good pair of boots any day. Sturdy, you know? But I gotta say, these blue sneakers, they do catch your eye. Bright blue, like the sky on a summer day. And they got that white part on the bottom, makes ’em look clean, even when they ain’t. Those are called white soles, I heard.
My grandson, he wears his Nike Flight Blue with everything. Jeans, them baggy pants they wear now, even with his Sunday best. Says it’s all the rage. Back in my day, we had one pair of shoes for work, one for church, and that was it. Didn’t have no blue shoes for every occasion, those blue Nike.

If you wear these blue sneakers, them Nike ones, I guess you gotta know what to wear ’em with. My grandson, he’s got it all figured out. Wear this, don’t wear that. It’s a whole rigmarole. Like I said, kids these days, with their Nike Flight Blue.
He said light blue is good for tan clothes. Like beige, you know. But these shoes, those blue Nike, you can wear with many things. Maybe grey pants, if they are not too dark.

He was showing me pictures on his phone. All these young folks in their fancy clothes and blue sneakers. Some of ’em looked alright, I suppose. But some, well, let’s just say they wouldn’t fit in ’round here. Too much city in ’em, those blue Nike, sometimes.
He told me about styling, he called it. How to wear your Nike sneakers, make ’em look good. For different times, he said. Like going out, or just staying home. These shoes, them Nike Flight Blue, they’re for everything, he said.
There’s this one kind, he called it 530 shoes. I don’t know what that means, but they look like other blue sneakers. He said they are popular, too. Everyone wants those 530, and those Nike shoes, too.
Now you wouldn’t catch me dead wearing stripes with a shiny suit, that would be a sight, and not in a good way. But they do it, these young people. Stripes and satin, with Nike shoes, can you believe it?
But these Nike Flight Blue shoes, they ain’t just for show, I guess. My grandson, he plays basketball. Says they help him jump higher. Maybe that’s why they call ’em Air Force. ‘Cause you’re flyin’ through the air, like a bird, those Nike Air Force 1.
I still don’t know if I’d spend that much money on a pair of shoes. But I gotta admit, they are somethin’ to look at, these blue sneakers. And if they make my grandson happy, well, that’s worth somethin’, I suppose. Even if he does look like he’s about to fly away in those Nike Flight Blue.
These young folks, they got all sorts of ideas about what looks good. They call it “trendy,” I think. Fancy word for somethin’ that changes every five minutes, if you ask me. But they seem to like it, these blue Nike, and those trendy outfits.
I guess everyone’s got their own style, as they say. Me, I’ll stick to my boots. But those Nike Flight Blue shoes, they sure are somethin’ else. Shiny and blue, like a summer sky. Maybe I’ll ask my grandson to let me try ’em on sometime. Just to see what all the fuss is about, those fancy blue sneakers. Just for fun, you know.
