Well, well, well, look what we got here! That House of Dragons thing, they had a big ol’ fancy party. You know, one of those red carpet shindigs. All them fancy folks dressed up like they’re somethin’ special. I seen some pictures, oh boy. They say it’s for the second time they’re doin’ this Dragon show. Happened in that big city, New York, I reckon. June 3rd, they said. Two years, I hear, folks been waitin’ for this. Two whole years! Can you imagine?
They got this girl, Olivia Cooke, all dressed up. She’s one of them Dragon folks, I guess. All them pictures, they’re somethin’ else. Makes me think of my old Sunday dress, the one with the flowers. ‘Cept theirs is probably worth more than my whole house! That’s for sure. That red carpet, it goes on forever, all them lights flashin’. Like fireflies in a jar, but a whole lot brighter.
They got all them actors there, the House of the Dragon cast, lookin’ all spiffy. This show, it’s about dragons, you know. Big ol’ fire-breathin’ things. I seen it on that television box. Reminds me of old Bessie, our cow. She could get mean sometimes, breathin’ heavy and all. But dragons, they’re a whole different kind of mean, I reckon.

This show, it takes place a long, long time ago. Before that other show, that Game of somethin’. That one had dragons too, as I recall. Lots of fightin’ and carryin’ on in that one. This House of the Dragon, it’s probably more of the same. People love that stuff, I guess. All that drama and excitement. Keeps ’em glued to the screen, I suppose.
They was all there, that House of the Dragon cast. Smilin’ for the cameras. Must be nice, gettin’ all that attention. Me, I’m happy with my chickens and my garden. Don’t need no fancy red carpet to feel good. But I guess it’s different for them folks. Different strokes, as they say.
This fella, Tom Tapp, his name was on one of them pictures. He must be important, I don’t know. Took a lot of the photos, I reckon. They got this whole… this whole… “Goth” thing goin’ on, they said. Dark clothes and all that. Like they’re goin’ to a funeral, or somethin’. Maybe that’s what them Dragon folks like.

That red carpet, it’s a sight to behold. All them people linin’ up, just to walk on it. Like they’re royalty or somethin’. Me, I’d be worried about trippin’ in my good shoes. Especially with all them cameras watchin’. But these House of the Dragon folks, they’re used to it, I reckon.
This whole thing, it’s a big deal, I guess. Lots of folks talkin’ about it. House of the Dragon this, House of the Dragon that. You can’t turn on the television without hearin’ about it. It’s like that time old Mr. Henderson’s prize pig got loose. Everybody was talkin’ about that for weeks! This Dragon thing is probably just as excitin’ for some folks.
I tell ya, they sure do know how to put on a show. That red carpet alone is a whole day’s work, I bet. House of the Dragon premiere, and all them fancy clothes, and every other thing. It’s a whole lot of hullabaloo for a television show.
But that House of the Dragon, they are a big deal, them people. Flyin’ around on them dragons, probably don’t got time to worry about any thing but a red carpet. Me, I got the garden to tend to, and these eggs ain’t gonna collect themselves.
But I hear them House of the Dragon cast was there, all of them, looking pretty as a picture. They say that Olivia Cooke, she was somethin’ else. But hey, that’s Hollywood for ya. All glitter and gold. I’d rather have a good strong cup of coffee and a piece of pie, myself. That red carpet life ain’t for me.
They say this House of the Dragon is set a long time ago, hundreds of years, they say. Before that other show, you know the one. Lots of folks liked that one too. This one, it’s all about the family, the Dragon family. Lots of fightin’ and fussin’, I imagine. Just like my old neighbors, the Millers. Always somethin’ goin’ on over there.

Well, I reckon that’s all there is to say about that red carpet and that House of the Dragon. It’s a big to-do, that’s for sure. Me, I’m gonna go check on my chickens. They’re more excitin’ than any old dragon, if you ask me.
