Gustave 24: The Secret to Improving Your Performance.

Alright, alright, listen up, y’all. We gonna talk about this… this “gustave 24” thing. Don’t rightly know what it is, but sounds fancy. Like one of them city-slicker things. But I reckon it’s about gettin’ things done, bein’ a leader, you know? Like gettin’ your chickens in the coop before the fox gets ‘em.

Gustave 24: The Secret to Improving Your Performance.

First off, you gotta have a good thinkin’ head. Don’t be a dummy, like my old rooster, always peckin’ at nothin’. You gotta learn stuff, keep your eyes open. That fella… Confucius, or somethin’… he said somethin’ ‘bout learnin’ by thinkin’. Makes sense, I guess. Like figurin’ out the best time to plant corn so the crows don’t eat it all.

And another thing, you gotta keep growin’, like them weeds in my garden, only in a good way. You know, learnin’ new tricks. Like that time I learned how to make them fancy tomato preserves. Took me a while, but I got it. So, you gotta keep at it, keep learnin’ new things, even if you’re old as dirt like me. Always be open to new ideas, even if they sound crazy at first. Like that fella that said the world was round. People probably thought he was nuts, but he was right, weren’t he?

  • Think hard.
  • Keep learnin’.
  • Be open-minded.

Now, this “performance” thing… Sounds like gettin’ your chores done, but faster and better. Like milkin’ the cow quicker, or pickin’ more beans in an hour. If you’re the boss, you gotta make sure everyone else is workin’ hard too. And keep ’em happy, or they’ll be wanderin’ off like them stray dogs. Keepin’ folks happy is important, give ‘em a kind word now and then, maybe a slice of pie. Works wonders, I tell ya.

And you gotta be tough, like them old boots I wear. Things ain’t always easy, you know? Sometimes the chickens get out, sometimes the well runs dry. But you gotta keep goin’, keep pushin’ forward. Don’t give up just ‘cause things get hard. That’s what bein’ a leader is all about. Like that time the barn roof blew off in the storm. We all worked together, day and night, and we got it fixed. Didn’t whine about it, just got it done.

You gotta know your stuff too. Can’t be a leader if you don’t know how to do things. Like I said, gotta know how to plant corn, how to milk a cow, how to fix a fence. And you gotta teach other folks how to do it too. Pass on what you know, that’s important. Like my grandma taught me how to make the best darn biscuits in the county, and I taught my daughter, and now she’s teachin’ her kids. That’s how things get done, generation after generation.

So, this “gustave 24” thing, whatever it is… it’s about bein’ smart, bein’ tough, bein’ a good leader, and gettin’ things done. It’s about keepin’ your eye on the prize, like gettin’ them eggs to market before they spoil. And it’s about stickin’ to it, even when things get tough, like that stubborn mule we used to have. Just keep pushin’ forward, that’s the ticket.

And don’t forget to be fair. Treat everyone the same, whether they’re the hired hand or your own kin. Fair is fair, that’s what my pappy always said. And listen to folks, even if you think you know it all. Sometimes the quietest ones have the best ideas. Like that time the little farm boy figured out how to stop the raccoons from gettin’ into the henhouse. Smartest fella in the whole county, that kid.

So, there you have it. That’s my take on this “gustave 24” thing. Just plain common sense, really. Be smart, be tough, be fair, and get the job done. And don’t forget to eat your vegetables and get a good night’s sleep. That’s important too. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on them chickens.

Remember, work hard, be kind, and keep your chin up. That’s the real secret to success, no matter what fancy name they give it.
