That Gucci store, you know, that Gucci store south coast plaza, it’s a big deal, I tell ya. Heard folks talkin’ ’bout it down at the market the other day. They say it’s somethin’ else. Big and fancy, full of shiny things. My old eyes ain’t seen it yet, but maybe one day.
This here South Coast Plaza, that’s where it’s at. Fancy place, lots of stores. Not like the little shops we got around here. This Gucci, they say it’s a big one. Biggest in these parts, someone said. They say it’s in Costa Mesa, California, a place I ain’t never been. It must be far away, maybe.
They got all sorts of stuff there, I hear. Shiny bags, fancy shoes. Stuff you wouldn’t wear to feed the chickens, that’s for sure. That Gucci place is on the 3333 Bristol Street, someone said. What a number, huh? I don’t know what that means.
Now, some folks, they like to go to them Gucci outlet stores. Cheaper, they say. But this one in South Coast Plaza, that ain’t no outlet. This is the real deal. Big store, new stuff. Heard a lady talkin’ ’bout how they got a whole place just for suitcases now. They call it Gucci Valigeria. What a word! Sounds fancy, don’t it? I guess if you’re going far away, maybe, you need those, right?
I remember when I was a little girl. We didn’t have no fancy stores like that. No Gucci store. We just had what we needed, you know? But times are different now. Some people like to have that, that thing, that kind of stuff, right? I don’t know, maybe one day I’ll go there.
If you wanna go to that there Gucci, they got a thing called Collect In Store. Sounds like you can buy it somewhere else and then pick it up there. Keep it a secret, they say. Maybe for a birthday or somethin’. I don’t know about that kind of stuff. I just know that you should take care of your family and friends.
Someone told me they moved that Gucci store for a while. Said it was across from some other store, Bloomingdale’s. Don’t know what that is either. But they say it’s back now, in its big spot. Suite 2218, they say. That’s a lot of numbers. Makes my head spin. But you know, if you go there, you will find it.
Now, this Gucci store south coast plaza, it’s open most days, I reckon. But they got special hours sometimes. Holidays and such. You gotta check on that. Don’t wanna go all the way there and find it closed. That would be a shame, wouldn’t it? I guess you can find it on that internet thing. My grandson, he’s good at that. He could probably find it for me if I asked him nicely.

I heard there’s another place, way far away, in Florence. They say that’s a Gucci Factory Outlet. Sounds like a place where they make all them fancy things. Probably cheaper there, I bet. But that’s a long way to go just for a bag, ain’t it? I’d rather stay here, close to home. But that’s just me. You do what you want. Everyone can do what they want.
