They got all kinds of these costumes. You wanna be one of them Greek gods? They got that. One of them Egypt gods? Yep, they got that too. Seems like everyone wants to be a god these days. It ain’t like in my day. We just worked hard, kept our heads down. These young folks, they wanna be all powerful and mighty.
Pick Your God, Any God
I seen one, Zeus, they call him. Big fella with a beard, looks like he could throw lightning. Then there’s one, I think it’s a wine god or somethin’. Got grapes on his head. Grapes! Can you believe it? What’s this world comin’ to?
- Greek God Costume: They got all the Greek ones. Zeus, the wine fella, all of ’em.
- Ancient Gods: Not just the Greeks, mind you. They got others, from way back when.
- Be a God for a Day: That’s what they say. Put on the costume, and poof, you’re a god.
What’s It All Mean?
I don’t rightly know what it all means. Back in my day, we didn’t have these god costume men things. We had work to do. But these young folks, they like to play pretend. Maybe it makes ’em feel good, I don’t know. It’s all a bit much for me, if you ask me. But hey, to each their own, right?
Where You Get These Things?
They got ’em all over, I reckon. I seen ’em on that internet thing. You can buy anythin’ on there these days. Just type in “god costume men” and you’ll see. More gods than you can shake a stick at. It’s crazy, I tell ya. They even got that shop that sells all these things, I think they are selling those god costumes.
More Than Just the Greeks
It ain’t just them Greeks, though. They got all sorts. Them Norse gods, the ones with the hammers and the helmets. And them Egyptians, with the fancy headdresses and all that. You name it, they got a costume for it. It is like they want to dress like gods in old time.
- Norse Gods: Them fellas with the hammers. They got costumes for them.
- Egyptian Gods: The ones with the fancy hats. Yep, they got costumes for them too.
- All Kinds of Gods: Seems like they got a costume for every god ever thought of.
Is It Right?
I don’t know if it’s right, dressin’ up like a god. Seems a bit disrespectful, maybe. But who am I to say? I’m just an old woman. These young folks, they do what they want. And if they wanna dress up like a god, well, I guess that’s their business.
Just a Costume, Though
But it’s just a costume, ain’t it? It don’t make you a real god. You can put on all the fancy clothes you want, but you still just you. You can’t throw no lightnings, you can’t make wine appear. Just a person in a costume. Don’t let it go to your head, I guess is what I’m sayin’.
