Okay, so I’ve been on this vintage Coach bag kick lately, and I finally snagged one I’ve been eyeing – a 9947 in grey. It’s that classic, structured saddle bag style, and I was so pumped to get my hands on it.

The Hunt
First things first, I scoured the internet. I checked all the usual spots, you know, the resale sites. I spent hours scrolling, comparing prices, and inspecting photos. It was a real mission! I wanted one in good condition, but I also didn’t want to pay a fortune. This particular style in grey seemed to be a little harder to find than the basic black or brown ones.
The Find
Finally, I found one that looked promising. The pictures were pretty good, and the seller had decent reviews. The price was okay, too – not a steal, but fair. I messaged the seller a few questions about any wear and tear that might not have been obvious in the photos. They got back to me pretty quickly, and everything seemed legit, so I took the plunge and bought it!
The Arrival
The waiting was the hardest part! When the package finally arrived, I ripped it open like a kid on Christmas morning. And there it was! It was even better in person. The leather was in really good shape, just a few minor scuffs that gave it character. The grey color was perfect – that soft, goes-with-everything neutral I was looking for.
The Clean-Up
Even though it was in good condition, I still wanted to give it a little TLC. I grabbed my leather cleaner and conditioner. I tested a small, hidden spot first, just to be safe. No problems, so I went to town. I gently cleaned the whole bag, inside and out. Then, I applied a thin layer of conditioner to keep the leather soft and supple.

- leather cleaner
- conditioner

The Result
After a little cleaning and conditioning, the bag looked amazing! It’s the perfect size for everyday essentials, and the grey color is so versatile. I’ve been carrying it everywhere, and I get so many compliments. It’s definitely one of my favorite vintage finds!
