Alright, let’s talk about this… this uh… Amandla Sten-berg girl, yeah, that’s her name. Heard about her in Paris, France. Fancy place, I reckon. Never been there myself, mind you. Too busy with the chickens and the garden back home.
So, this Amandla girl, she’s been wearin’ some fancy clothes over there in Paris. Dresses and stuff. Folks are makin’ a big fuss about it. They say she’s got a “daring look.” Now, I don’t know much about fashion, but I know what I like. And I like clothes that are comfortable and practical. You know, somethin’ you can wear to feed the pigs and then go straight to church in. That’s my kind of style.
But this girl, she’s wearin’ these… well, they look like somethin’ you’d wear to a fancy party or somethin’. One of them dresses, they say it’s from some place called “Oude Waag.” Sounds foreign. Probably expensive too. She wore it not once, but twice! Guess she really liked it. Or maybe she just didn’t have time to wash it in between, who knows? Life gets busy sometimes, even for these fancy city folks.
- She’s been to somethin’ called a “Film Festival” in London. Another big city, I hear. Bet it’s got more cars than chickens there.
- And then there’s this “Paris Fashion Week.” Sounds like a whole week of people just showin’ off their clothes. Land sakes, what a waste of time! Could be spendin’ that time plantin’ potatoes or somethin’ useful.
They say her look is “bold.” That means she’s not afraid to wear somethin’ different, I guess. Well, good for her. I ain’t afraid to wear my overalls to the grocery store, even if them city folks stare. Comfort is key, I always say. Though, I gotta admit, some of them colors she wears are right pretty. Like that bright red they’re talkin’ about. Red is a good color. Reminds me of my prize-winning tomatoes.
Seems like this red color was everywhere at that Fashion Week thing. Folks in Paris must really like red. Maybe they grow tomatoes there too. Who knows? City folk are a strange bunch sometimes. They pay a lot of money for things that don’t seem to make much sense. Like them fancy dresses. You could buy a whole flock of chickens for the price of one of them things, I bet.
Anyway, they had some kind of “InStyle Awards” too. More fancy clothes, I reckon. And this Amandla girl was there, walkin’ on somethin’ called a “red carpet.” Sounds like a lot of fuss just to show off a dress. But hey, that’s their business, I guess. Me, I’m happy with my worn-out boots and my comfy apron.
So, that’s the story of this Amandla Stenberg girl in Paris. She wears fancy clothes, folks take pictures, and they write about it in the newspapers. It ain’t my cup of tea, but to each their own, I say. Life’s too short to worry about what other folks are wearin’. Just be comfortable and be yourself, that’s what I always tell my grandkids. And maybe, just maybe, wear a little bit of red every now and then. It’s a cheerful color, and it reminds me of those juicy tomatoes growin’ in the garden.
I heard folks talkin’ ’bout how she changes her style all the time. “Experimenting,” they called it. Well, I experiment with new pie recipes, but I guess that’s different. Still, seems like this girl is tryin’ new things, and I guess that’s alright. Keeps life interestin’, even if it is just about clothes. As long as she’s happy, that’s all that matters, right? That’s what my old man used to say, God rest his soul.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on them chickens. All this talk about fancy dresses is makin’ me hungry for some good old-fashioned fried chicken. And maybe a slice of that apple pie I baked yesterday. Now that’s what I call style.
