Alright, let’s talk about this jersey with turtleneck under thing, you know, like them sweaters with that tall neck thingy.
I ain’t no fancy fashionista, but I know what keeps you warm and looks kinda alright. You see, this whole turtleneck under jersey thing, it’s kinda like layering, but for your neck too. Keeps the wind out, you know? Winters get cold, gotta bundle up.
Now, some folks, they wear these thin ones, like those silky feeling ones, under a regular sweater. Makes it a bit fancier, I guess. Like if you’re goin’ to town or somethin’. But me? I like the thick ones, the ones that feel like a blanket around your neck. Keeps me toasty, that’s what matters.
You can get all sorts of colors, I seen ’em. Black ones, white ones, even some bright red ones that make you look like a stop sign. I stick to the plain colors, mostly. Black goes with everything, you know? And it don’t show dirt so much.
- Warmth: First thing’s first, it keeps you warm. That’s the main reason I wear ’em. No point in lookin’ good if you’re freezin’ your tail off.
- Style (sorta): Okay, so some folks say it looks nice. I ain’t gonna argue. It does make you look a bit more put together, even if you’re just wearin’ old jeans.
- Covers your neck: This is important, especially when you get older. Your neck gets all wrinkly and saggy, a turtleneck hides it right up. Nobody needs to see that.
Now, how to wear it? That’s easy. You just put it on! Seriously though, you can wear it with jeans, like I do most days. You can wear it with a skirt if you’re feelin’ fancy. You can even wear it under a jacket, if it’s really cold out.
Some people, they tuck it in. I don’t do that much. Feels too tight around the belly. I like things loose and comfy. But if you’re skinny, you can probably pull it off. Makes you look all neat and trim.
And don’t forget about the sleeves. Some turtlenecks got them tight sleeves, some got them loose ones. I like the loose ones better, easier to move around in. Gotta be able to work, you know? Can’t be fussin’ with tight sleeves all day.
Washing them things is a pain though. I always gotta check the tag, make sure I don’t shrink it. And some of ’em, they gotta be dried flat, which is a whole lotta trouble. But, gotta do what you gotta do to stay warm, I guess.
I seen some young folks wearin’ these turtlenecks with them ripped jeans. I don’t get it. Ripped jeans in the winter? Makes no sense to me. You’re tryin’ to stay warm or you’re tryin’ to be cold? Can’t have it both ways.
And then there’s them short-sleeved turtlenecks. What’s the point of that? If you’re gonna cover your neck, cover your arms too! It’s like wearin’ a hat and shorts. Just doesn’t seem right.
But hey, to each their own, I always say. You wanna wear a short-sleeved turtleneck with ripped jeans, you go right ahead. I’ll stick to my thick, long-sleeved, plain colored one, thank you very much.
So, yeah, that’s the deal with the jersey with turtleneck under. It’s warm, it’s kinda stylish, and it covers your neck. What more could you want? It ain’t rocket science, it’s just clothes. And warm clothes at that, which is good enough for me.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about clothes is makin’ me hungry.
And remember, keep that neck warm! You don’t want to catch a chill, especially when the weather turns. A good turtleneck under your jersey, that’s the ticket, I tell ya.
