Alright, let’s gab about these newfangled sneakers, the ones they call “upcoming ja 1 colorways.” I don’t know much about these things, but I’ll tell ya what I heard.
So, this fella, Ja Morant, he’s got his own shoes now. Imagine that! A young whippersnapper with his own shoes. They say the first ones came out last year, 2023, they called ’em “Ja 1.” Cost a pretty penny too, $110 they say. That’s a lot of money for shoes, back in my day we wore whatever we could find!
They had all sorts of colors, they call ’em “colorways” now. Fancy, huh? There was one called “Scratch,” looked kinda brownish with some red and black. Then there was a “Midnight” one, I guess it was dark like night time. They even made one they called “Coconut Milk,” sounds like somethin’ you’d drink, not wear on your feet! Comes out April 2024, they said.

- Ja 1 “Midnight”: Dark colored.
- Ja 1 “Coconut Milk”: Like the name says, kinda white, I guess. Comes out April 2024.
- Ja 1 “Murray State”: Don’t know what color but released in March 2024.
- Ja 1 “Check”: Don’t know what color but released in February 2024.
Now, they’re talkin’ about some new shoes, “Ja 2” they call ’em. Coming out September 26, 2024, on some website called “SNKRS” and in some stores. Then, they got clothes too, shirts and stuff, coming out in October. They say the bottom of these shoes look like truck tires, ’cause this Ja fella used to train with truck tires when he was a youngin’. Imagine that, trainin’ with truck tires! Kids these days, they got all sorts of fancy ways to do things.
I heard that Ja Morant announced his shoes on Christmas 2022, got everyone all excited. Guess it was a big deal for him, gettin’ his own shoes and all. They say there are over 30 different colors of the Ja 1 now. Thirty! That’s a whole lotta shoes. Don’t know why anyone needs that many, but I guess folks like to have choices these days.
So that’s the scoop on these “upcoming ja 1 colorways” and this Ja Morant fella. Sounds like he’s doin’ alright for himself, makin’ shoes and all. I still don’t understand why they cost so much, but I guess that’s just how things are now. Just hope those youngsters appreciate what they got, ’cause back in my day, we were lucky to have any shoes at all.
Anyway, that’s all I know about these here shoes. Don’t ask me no more, ’cause my head’s already spinnin’ from all this talk about colors and sneakers and whatnot. Just remember, good shoes are important, but they don’t make the man. It’s what’s inside that counts, you hear?
