by Afra Jennings

Okay, so I’ve been seeing “Fairy Tales” from Bath & Body Works everywhere lately, and I finally caved. I had to see what the hype was all about. Here’s how my little experiment went down.

The Hunt

First, I tried to find it online. No luck. Sold out, of course. This only made me want it more, obviously. So, I headed to my local store.

In-Store Adventure

I walked in, and the smell hit me immediately. It’s a mix of, like, a thousand different things, but in a good way! I asked a sales associate about “Fairy Tales,” and she pointed me to a small display. They only had a few left!

The Goods

I grabbed a shower gel, a body cream, and the fine fragrance mist. I’m a sucker for the whole set. Here’s what I noticed:

  • Shower Gel: Lathers up really nicely. My skin felt clean, but not stripped, you know?
  • Body Cream: Super thick and moisturizing. A little goes a long way. It soaks in pretty fast, which is a plus.
  • Fine Fragrance Mist: This is where the scent really shines. It’s a little strong at first, but it settles down into something really nice.

The Scent Breakdown

Describing the scent is tough. It’s definitely sweet, but not in a sugary, little-kid way. It’s more… sophisticated sweet? If that makes any sense. I picked up on some fruity notes, maybe pomegranate? And something warm and cozy, like vanilla or amber. I also can smell somthing floral after a little bit of time.

The Wear Test

I used all three products after my shower. I wanted to see how long the scent would last. Honestly, I could still smell it faintly on my skin hours later. My clothes even held onto the scent a little bit.

Final Verdict

Is it worth the hype? I’d say yes! It’s a really unique scent, and it lasts a decent amount of time. If you can get your hands on it, I definitely recommend giving it a try. I’m pretty sure I’m going to keep this one in my rotation for a long time. I’m totally adding this to my favorite list!
