Okay, so I’ve been eyeing these Kobe 9 Protro’s that are supposed to drop in December. You know, the ones with that crazy flyknit upper and that super responsive cushioning? Yeah, those. I’ve been wanting a pair of Kobe’s for a while now, and these just look insane. So I figured, why not try and get them on release day?
First things first, I needed to figure out when they were actually coming out. I checked a couple of sneaker news sites and saw that the date was set for December 16th. Alright, cool. I marked that on my calendar and set a reminder on my phone. No way I was missing this drop.
Then came the hard part: figuring out where to actually buy them. I know these things are gonna be popular, so I had to have a plan. I made a list of all the online retailers that were likely to stock them: the usual suspects like the Nike app, Foot Locker, and a few others. I even signed up for their newsletters, you know, just in case they gave out any early access or special codes.
Next, I made sure all my accounts were set up and ready to go. I updated my shipping address and payment info on each site, so I wouldn’t have to waste any time during checkout. Every second counts when you’re trying to cop a limited release like this.
The week of the release, I kept checking those sneaker sites and social media for any updates. There were a few rumors going around about some stores doing raffles, so I entered every single one I could find. Hey, you never know, right? Gotta increase those chances however I could.
Release Day
Finally, December 16th arrived. I woke up early, like way earlier than I usually do on a Saturday. I had all my devices ready: my laptop, my phone, even my tablet. I opened up all the retailer websites and just waited.

As soon as the clock hit the release time, I started refreshing like crazy. The websites were slow, and some of them even crashed. It was pure chaos. I was clicking and clicking, trying to add the shoes to my cart, but nothing was happening.
After about 20 minutes of this madness, I finally got through on one of the sites. I managed to get a pair in my size into my cart, and I quickly went through checkout. I held my breath as the payment processed, and then… boom! I got the confirmation email.
I couldn’t believe it. I actually managed to get a pair of the Kobe 9 Protro’s on release day! I was so hyped. It was a stressful experience, but totally worth it in the end.

Now I just have to wait for them to arrive. I’m already planning out what outfits I’m gonna wear with them. These are definitely going to be my new go-to sneakers. So yeah, that’s my story of how I copped the Kobe 9 Protro’s. It wasn’t easy, but I’m so glad I did it.
