Okay, so, I decided to hit up the La Galerie Dior. First things first, I checked when they’re open. Turns out, it’s every day from 11 in the morning till 7 at night, except Tuesdays. They also take a break on January 1st, May 1st, and December 25th. Smart, right? Gotta have those holidays off!

So, I got this tip that it’s a good idea to book a time slot online. Even though I heard sometimes the online tickets are all gone, they still sell some at the door starting at 11:30 AM. But, you know, this place is popular, so it might be a bit of a wait. Better to reserve than not, if you can swing it.
Now, I figured out where this place is. It’s at 11 rue Francois Premier. Fancy, huh? I heard that’s where they’ve been cooking up their collections for like, 75 years. That’s a long time!
Getting there was easy. I just hopped on the metro and bam, I was there. But, if you’re not into the whole metro scene, there are buses and taxis too. Whatever floats your boat.
I paid 12 euros to get in. For anyone who’s between 10 and 26 years old and still studying, it is just 8 euros, and kids under 10, it is completely free. Cool deal for the students!
Once I was in, I was like, “Okay, let’s do this!” I spent a good 45 minutes to an hour just wandering around, soaking it all in. There are dresses, sketches, and all sorts of cool stuff. It’s like walking through a fashion history book, but way more fun.

I noticed they’ve got stuff set up for people who might need a little extra help getting around. Ramps, elevators, the whole shebang. That’s pretty thoughtful.
And guess what? If you’re into taking pictures, you totally can. I snapped a few myself, just for the memories, you know? But, there are some spots where they ask you not to use flash. Gotta respect the rules.
Oh, and here’s a tip: Allocate more than two hours to fully enjoy it. I know some people say they can do it in less, but trust me, you’ll want to take your time. Especially if you’re really into fashion and all that.
Here are the key things I kept in mind:
- Opening hours: 11 AM to 7 PM, every day except Tuesday.
- Holidays: Closed on January 1st, May 1st, and December 25th.
- Tickets: 12 euros for adults, 8 euros for students aged 10-26, free for kids under 10.
- Time: Give yourself at least 45 minutes to an hour, maybe even more if you’re a fashion enthusiast like me.
- Booking: Try to book online if you can, but they do sell tickets at the door.
So, yeah, that was my day at La Galerie Dior. Pretty awesome, if you ask me. If you’re ever in Paris and you’ve got a thing for fashion, you should totally check it out!
