Okay, so I’ve always been fascinated by the whole “natural blonde with brown eyes” look. It’s, like, this super striking combination, you know? I decided to, you know actually dive in and give it a try, figuring out how to get that aesthetic.

First, I researched. Seriously, hours spent looking at pictures, and figuring out what kind of blonde I liked. There’s, like, a million shades! Platinum, honey, ash, strawberry… it’s a lot. I finally settled on a more natural, golden blonde – something that looked sun-kissed, not bleached out.
My Coloring Journey
- Step 1: The Bleach (Ugh)
I watched to lighten my hair.I chose a volume 20 developer, hoping it wouldn’t totally fry my hair. And I left that bleach on for maybe, I think, 40 minutes? My hair was getting lighter, but it was also kinda…orange. Classic.
- Step 2: Toner Time
I needed to get rid of that brassiness. I went with a toner ,which is supposed to cancel out yellow and orange tones. Applied that, waited another 20 minutes or so, and rinsed. It was definitely better, less orange, more…well, blonde-ish.
- Step 3: Brown eyes make up
Finally, it was time to, you know, give some brown eyes definition! I’ve always had dark brown eyes, so that part was * my eyebrows were another story, they were too light.I choose a brown color Eyebrow pencil to make my eyebrow looks more natural.
- Step 4:Maintenance
I had to accept the upkeep. Blonde hair is work. Purple shampoo became my new best friend, to keep the brassiness away. And I started doing hair masks, like, religiously, to try and undo some of the damage.
It was a process, honestly. Lots of steps, lots of waiting, and a few moments of panic. But in the end? I think I nailed it. Or, at least, I got pretty close to that natural blonde with brown eyes vibe I was going for. It is not perfect, but I will keep trying!
