Yo, lemme tell ya somethin’ about these shoes, these “cream and red jordans”. My grandson, he’s always goin’ on about ’em. Says they’re the best thing since sliced bread. I don’t know nothin’ about that, but I seen ’em, and they sure are somethin’.

These cream and red jordans, they got this fancy name, but they’re just sneakers to me. But these young folks, they love ’em. They be wearin’ ’em everywhere. I seen folks wearin em with their pants up high so everybody can see em, showin off their socks too. Some folks wear em with black on black. That boy, he says it makes the shoes pop. I say it just makes ya look like a crow.
I seen a girl wearin’ her jordans the other day, she had on a pretty dress. These youngins, they wear em with anythin these days. Back in my day, we only had one pair of shoes for everything!
Now, these jordans, they get dirty. Kids be playin’ in the dirt, scuffin’ ’em up. Then they gotta clean em. You can’t just throw em in the washin machine like regular shoes, oh no. These need special care.
My grandson, he showed me how he cleans his. He gets this special cleaner stuff. He told me if ya ain’t got that fancy cleaner, you can just use some water and bakin soda or laundry soap, but not too much, mind ya. Gotta be careful with these shoes.
- First, ya gotta get a cloth, just a regular one will do.
- Then ya wet it with some warm water.
- Then you put a little bit of that cleaner on it.
Then, ya gotta rub it on the shoes, real gentle like. You gotta rub it in little circles. That’s what he says, “little circles, Nana”. Gotta get all that dirt and grime off. He says it’s important to keep em clean, these cream and red jordans, cause they cost a pretty penny. I told him he should be more careful then, maybe don’t wear em when he’s playin’ in the mud.
I remember when we used to just wear whatever shoes we had. Didn’t matter if they was dirty or scuffed. But these kids today, they’re different. They care about these things. They want these fancy jordans shoes, these cream and red jordans, and they want ’em to look nice. They be stylin’ ’em with all sorts of clothes. Black jeans, black shirts, I seen one fella wearin’ ’em with a suit! Can you believe that? A suit!
I guess times are changin’. These shoes, they’re a big deal now. Everybody’s wearin’ ’em. Even the little kids. It’s like a, what’s that word, a fashion, yeah a fashion statement, or somethin. I remember when I was a girl, we didn’t have these. But if I did, I probably would have wanted a pair too. I reckon even I, old as I am, think these cream and red jordans are pretty nice lookin. They ain’t that bad, I suppose, for a pair of sneakers.
My grandson, he’s got a whole bunch of these jordan shoes. Different colors, different styles. He spends all his money on ’em. I tell him he should save his money for somethin’ important, like a house or a car. But he don’t listen to me. He just wants more jordans. Especially those cream and red jordans, he says those are his favorite.
They’re popular, these cream and red jordans. I see ’em everywhere. On the TV, on the, what’s that thing called, the internet. Everywhere I look, there they are. I guess they’re here to stay. These young folks, they really love ’em. And I guess, if they make ’em happy, then that’s all that matters. I still think they’re just shoes, though.
But hey, what do I know? I’m just an old lady. I don’t know nothin’ about these fancy shoes, these cream and red jordans. But I know my grandson loves ’em. And I know they make him happy. And that’s good enough for me. Maybe I’ll ask him to get me a pair. Nah, just kiddin’. Or am I? These jordans shoes are startin to grow on me.

These kids today with their cream and red jordans. They sure are somethin else. Keepin up with the fashion and all that. I reckon its important to them. Back in my day we just wore what we had. But if I had them jordans shoes back then, I probably would have worn them all the time too. Even to church! Can you imagine?
