Alright, listen up, y’all! Let’s yak about this Bejeweled thing, whatever it is. Sounds fancy, like somethin’ them city folks play with, all shiny and whatnot. My grandkids, they’re always fiddlin’ with their phones, maybe this is one of them games they’re hooked on. Don’t really get it myself, but hey, I can still tell ya what I heard.
So, this Bejeweled, it seems like there’s a bunch of ’em. Like, Bejeweled Stars, that’s one. They keep changin’ it, addin’ stuff all the time. Them computer folks, they never rest, always tinkerin’. Heard they put in some new Charms. Five sets, no less! And you can even send messages with ’em now. What’ll they think of next? Back in my day, we just talked face to face, none of this fancy message business.
Then there’s this Bejeweled Blitz. Sounds fast, like a lightnin’ strike! Says here it was on somethin’ called Facebook. Don’t know much about that either, sounds like a book made of faces, which don’t make no sense. But anyway, this game, it’s got puzzles. You match them shiny things, and they disappear, poof! Like magic, but it ain’t real magic, just computer stuff.
And folks are wishin’ for a Bejeweled 4. Seems like they ain’t made one yet. These game makers, they take their sweet time, don’t they? People are itchin’ for it, wantin’ new gems, ones they ain’t seen before. Guess they got tired of the old ones. Can’t blame ’em, I get tired of lookin’ at the same old chickens in my yard every day.
- Now, they got these things called power-ups. Zen and Detonator, they call ’em.

You wake up one mornin’, and everything’s different. Like when they put that newfangled paved road through town, all smooth and shiny, scared the chickens half to death.
This Bejeweled thing, it’s a big deal, seems like. Folks are talkin’ about it, wantin’ more, always more. Never satisfied, just like my grandbaby with them candies. Give her one, she wants two.
