Well, let me tell ya ’bout this thing, Alexa from the program Netflix. I don’t know much ’bout these fancy shows, but my grandkid told me a bit, and I reckon I can piece it together for ya.
So, this Alexa girl, she’s in high school, and wouldn’t ya know it, she gets the cancer. Real bad luck, that is. But she’s got this friend, Katie, stands by her through thick and thin. That’s what friends are for, I always say.
The show, it’s called “Alexa and Katie”, simple enough. These two young’uns, Paris Berelc and Isabel May, they play ’em. Good actresses, my grandkid says. They got other folks in there too, Jolie Jenkins, Emery Kelly, Eddie Shin, Finn Carr, Tiffani Thiessen, and that Jack Griffo fella. Sounds like a whole bunch of ’em.
Now, this show, it ain’t some never-ending story. They made four parts, and then they stopped. Said it was a “logical end,” whatever that means. Guess they figured Alexa and Katie were all grown up and ready for college, so no more story to tell. Started makin’ it back in 2017, June 22nd to be exact. My grandkid remembers dates better than me.
- Alexa and Katie: Main characters, high school girls.
- Cancer: The sickness Alexa gets.
- Friendship: Katie stickin’ by Alexa.
- Netflix: Where you watch the show.
- Four Parts: That’s all they made.
They even got a video, my grandkid showed me, of these actors goin’ to the Netflix place in Hollywood, California. Big fancy building, I bet. They were lookin’ for a banana stand, of all things. Kids these days, always up to somethin’ silly.
Netflix, they make all sorts of shows, you know. “Netflix originals,” they call ’em. They got folks workin’ behind the scenes, doin’ all the magic to make these stories come to life. Casting secrets, they got, and all that. It’s a whole different world, I tell ya.
So, Alexa from the program Netflix, she’s this girl with cancer, and her friend helps her out. It’s a story about bein’ strong and havin’ good folks around ya. That’s what I get from it, anyway. My grandkid probably knows more, but that’s all this old lady needs to know.
It’s a show about friendship, that’s for sure. Through sickness and health, them girls stuck together. Reminds me of my own friends, back in the day. We didn’t have no fancy Netflix, but we had each other. And that was enough.
This show, it seems like it touched a lot of folks. My grandkid says people were sad when it ended. Guess they got attached to Alexa and Katie, wanted to see what happened next. But sometimes, stories gotta end, you know? Just like life, things change, and you gotta move on.
Now, I ain’t seen the whole show myself. Just bits and pieces my grandkid showed me. But from what I gather, it’s a heartwarming story, even with the cancer and all. It shows that even when things are tough, there’s still hope, still friendship, still good things in the world. And that’s a message worth sharin’, I reckon.
And let me tell you, that Netflix, they got somethin’ for everyone. My grandkid’s always watchin’ somethin’ new on there. From them superheroes to them cookin’ shows, they got it all. This “Alexa and Katie” show, it’s just one little piece of the puzzle. But it sounds like it was a good piece, a piece that made folks happy, made ’em think, made ’em feel somethin’. And that’s more than you can say for a lot of things these days.
So there you have it, what this old lady knows ’bout Alexa from the program Netflix. It’s a show about a girl, her friend, and the cancer that tried to knock ‘em down. But they stood tall, them girls did. And that’s somethin’ to be proud of, I reckon.
And if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to watch, maybe give it a try. My grandkid says it’s good, and that’s good enough for me. But don’t expect no explosions or car chases. This ain’t that kind of show. This is a show about real life, about real people, and about the real struggles they face. And sometimes, that’s the best kind of story there is.
