Alright, so today I’m gonna mess around with this “Barbiecore” thing I’ve been seeing all over the internet. I figured, why not? Let’s make a social media flier and see what happens. Honestly, I’m not even sure what to expect, but that’s half the fun, right?

First, I opened up my trusty design tool. You know, the one everyone uses these days. I started with a blank canvas, which is always a little intimidating. I stared at it for a good five minutes, no joke. Then, I remembered those Barbie vibes are all about pink, pink, and more pink!
So, I went ahead and flooded the background with a bright, eye-searing shade of pink. I mean, if you’re gonna do Barbie, you gotta go all in. Next, I needed some text. I typed out “Barbie Party” or something like that – I can’t even remember, I tried a few different things. I played around with a bunch of fonts, you know, the usual, until I found one that looked kinda like a fancy toy box. Pretty good, I thought.
But it still looked kinda boring, just pink with some words. I rummaged through my collection of digital stickers and stuff – I found some glittery stars and hearts. Perfect! I sprinkled those bad boys all over the place. Then I added a picture of a doll silhouette thing, because, well, Barbie. It was starting to look like something, but not quite done.
I decided it needed some more oomph, you know? So I dug around some more and found this cool gradient tool. I messed with the colors until I got this pink and purple swirl that looked like a candy dream. I slapped that on top of everything, adjusted the transparency a bit so you could still see the other stuff, and bam! It actually looked pretty decent.
My Final Result
- Bright pink background
- Fancy, toy box-style font for the text
- Glittery star and heart stickers
- A doll silhouette
- A pink and purple swirly gradient overlay
I gotta say, I’m kinda proud of it. It’s definitely extra, but that’s the whole point, right? I’m not sure I’ll ever actually use it, but it was a fun little experiment. Who knew playing around with pink and glitter could be so entertaining? Maybe I’ll try something totally different tomorrow, like a moody, dark theme. We’ll see! Anyway, that’s it for today’s little project. Hope you enjoyed this little peek into my messy creative process.
