Well, well, well, look at that fancy Met Gala 2024 thing again. All them rich folks showin’ off. This year, they say it’s somethin’ about “Sleeping Beauties”. I don’t know, sounds like a bunch of old clothes to me. They say it’s about 250 old pieces, real old ones. I guess that’s interestin’ to some folks. But that Anok Yai, now she’s a looker, ain’t she? She was shinin’ brighter than my old tin roof after a good rain!
That Anok Yai, she was wearin’ a dress, they say it was made by that Swarovski. You know, them’s the fancy crystals, all sparkly and what not. They say it was made special just for her, designed by some big shot. Big shot at Swarovski. I bet that cost a pretty penny. Probably more than I made in my whole life, sellin’ eggs and whatnot!
They say that dress, it had, get this, 98,000 of them crystals! 98,000! Can you imagine? My old eyes can barely see these days, but I bet that dress lit up the whole place. Like a whole sky full of stars, right there on that girl. She was really somethin’ at that Met Gala 2024.
I saw some pictures. That girl, Anok Yai, she’s a model, you know. And a pretty one, too. They say some photographer found her at some university, some Howard University thing. That was back in, uh, 2017, I think. Seems like just yesterday. Time sure does fly when you’re gettin’ old.
That dress, it weren’t the only thing shinin’ though. No sir. She had a necklace on, too. Another one of them Swarovski things. Big and bright, full of light, they called it. I don’t know all them fancy names, but it sure was somethin’ to see. They say it was from somethin’ called the “Galaxy Collection”. Sounds like somethin’ from outer space! I reckon it cost more than my whole farm!
Here’s what she was wearin’, I wrote it down:
- That sparkly dress, all covered in 98,000 Swarovski crystals.
- A big, bright necklace, also from Swarovski. They called it a “showpiece”.
Now, I ain’t never been to one of them fancy parties like the Met Gala 2024. I just see the pictures in them magazines at the store. But I tell ya what, that Anok Yai, she sure made an impression. She looked like a queen, or a movie star. She was like a real sleepin’ beauty at that Met Gala 2024 thing.
All that glitter and gold, it ain’t really my style. I’m more of a simple dress and good boots kinda gal. But I can appreciate a beautiful thing when I see it. And that girl, in that sparkly dress, she was a beautiful thing. Yep, that Anok Yai, she was the star of the show at that Met Gala 2024. No doubt about it.
I heard she was discovered by a photographer in 2017. He was takin’ photos for a livin’, and he saw her. Found her at Howard University, it was a homecomin’ week. She sure is lucky, that Anok Yai. Goin’ from a regular day to bein’ a star at the Met Gala 2024. Just like that.
I wonder what she’s like, that Anok Yai. I bet she’s a nice girl. Probably worked hard to get where she is. It ain’t easy, makin’ it in this world. Especially when you’re all dressed up like that for the Met Gala 2024, with everyone lookin’ at ya. But she did good. She did real good. She made that Swarovski dress look like a million bucks. Well, probably more than a million, to be honest. Probably enough money for a hundred of them Met Gala 2024 things.
I guess that’s all I got to say about that. That Anok Yai, she sure was somethin’ at the Met Gala 2024. Shinin’ brighter than a new dime. Yep, that’s the story.
