Okay, so today I decided to finally get around to organizing my bookshelves. You know, the kind of project you put off for, like, ever? But with the kids home for summer break, I figured I’d tackle sorting through the Eva Chen books we’ve collected.

First, I pulled everything off the shelves. Total chaos, I tell you! Picture books, board books, chapter books… all mixed up. We’ve got quite the collection of Chen’s work – from “Juno Valentine” to “A Is for Awesome” – so finding them all was step one.
Sorting the Books
Next, I sorted. I created a pile just for the Eva Chen books. Seeing them all together like that was pretty cool. We really do love her style and the messages in her stories.
- Juno Valentine and the Magical Shoes
- A Is for Awesome!: 23 Iconic Women Who Changed the World
- Roxy the Last Unisaurus Rex
- 3 2 1 Awesome!: 20 Fearless Women Who Dared to Be Different
- I am Golden
- Colors of Awesome!
I am thinking to read “I am Golden” to my kids, and then discuss the story with them. Beacuse I love this book so much!
Then came the tricky part – deciding how to organize them. By series? By publication date? Alphabetically? My kids helped me decided. Alphabetically will easier to find.
Finally, I put the books on the shelf. After that I cleaned all the other books and put them back.

It took longer than I thought, a few good hours but it’s DONE. Bookshelves are organized, and the Eva Chen books have their own special spot. Now, onto the next project…
