Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “cher chrome heart” things all over my feed, and I was like, “What the heck is that?” I finally caved and decided to figure it out.
First, I started with a basic search. You know, just typing “cher chrome heart” into the search bar to see what would pop up.
I scrolled through a bunch of images, and I realized it’s some kind of jewelry or accessory thing. Seems pretty popular with the cool kids. They looked pretty shiny and fancy.
My DIY Attempt
I’m not one to just buy something without trying to make it myself first, I got the idea of making one on my own.
- So, I grabbed some old, cheap jewelry I had lying around. You know, those necklaces and bracelets you get and never wear?
- Then, I went to the craft store and picked up some silver spray paint. The cheap kind, because, let’s be real, I might mess this up.
- I also found some heart-shaped charms. They weren’t exactly the same as the ones I saw online, but close enough.
I laid everything out on some newspaper in my garage, and I just started spraying. Everything got a nice, even coat of that shiny silver. It actually looked pretty good!
After it dried, I tried to attach the charms to the chain. This was the tricky part. I used some pliers and those little jump ring things. It took a few tries, and my fingers got a little pinched, but I finally got them all on.

Honestly, it didn’t turn out exactly like the real thing. It’s a little rough around the edges, and the silver paint probably won’t last forever. But, you know what? I made it myself, and it kind of has that “distressed” look, which is probably cool anyway, right?
So, that’s my “cher chrome heart” adventure. Not perfect, but definitely a fun little project!
