First, I started by raiding my closet. I dug through all my drawers and pulled out anything that looked remotely athletic. I found some old leggings, a couple of oversized t-shirts, and a few sports bras that I’d completely forgotten about. Not a bad start, but definitely needed some new pieces.

The Shopping Trip

Next, I convinced my mom to take me shopping. We hit up a few different stores.I tried on a ton of stuff. Seriously, I felt like I was in a fashion show, but with way more sweatpants.I grabbed some colorful shorts—bright pink and electric blue—because, why not? They’re fun! Then, I found some basic black leggings, which are always a good staple to have.

  • Brightly colored shorts: Super eye-catching!
  • Basic black leggings: For those days when I want to keep it simple.
  • Moisture-wicking tops:So I don’t end up a sweaty mess.
  • Supportive sports bra:Very important!

I also picked up a few moisture-wicking tops. These are a lifesaver because they help keep you cool and dry, even when you’re running around like crazy in gym class.I found some basic tees, and also a couple with some cool designs.

Of course, I made sure I chose a new sports bra. It is very important for doing sports!

Putting it All Together

Back home, I started experimenting with different combinations. I paired the bright pink shorts with a plain white tee and my black sneakers. I tried the blue shorts with a gray top and it looked pretty good too. I realized that having a few basic pieces, like the black leggings and plain tees, made it super easy to mix and match everything.

Finally,I think my summer gym outfits for 7th grade are looking pretty good. I’ve got a good mix of comfort and style, and I’m actually excited to wear these to gym class. Mission accomplished!
