Okay, so I finally got my hands on that Alo cropped sweatshirt everyone keeps buzzing about. My old hoodie was basically falling apart, super baggy and weirdly long. Wanted something fresh.

Ordering It
Hopped onto their website, man. Looked for that cropped sweatshirt section. Saw tons of colors, kinda overwhelming. Wanted a neutral shade, settled on like this soft grey. Now came sizing… that’s where I got stuck. Models all looked tall and slim, wearing smalls. I’m kinda average height, 5’6″, wear medium a lot? But crop tops… tricky.
- Started reading the size guide super careful.
- Measured my bust standing like it said: 36 inches.
- Looked at their size chart – said 36 inches was a Small? No way. That felt off.
Checked reviews like crazy. Saw tons saying “runs small!” and “size up for comfort!”. Okay, okay. Remembered my last Alo leggings fit snug too. Screwed my courage up and went for Medium. Clicked order… fingers crossed.
When It Arrived
Box was all slick, you know how they do. Opened it and felt the fabric first thing – instantly soft. Like really soft. Held it up, saw the cropped length. Looked short… but held it to my waist, seemed alright.
Slipped it on. Oh man, perfect relief. Medium was absolutely right. Snug but not tight? The length hit right above my hipbones – definitely cropped, not belly-showing short unless I lifted my arms way high. Fabric moved with me when I twisted around. Could breathe easy, not suffocated. And the sleeves? Nice room, didn’t cut into my arms or nothing.
Wearing It Out
Wore it running errands with leggings. Whole time? Forgot I had a sweatshirt on. That’s the thing – zero scratchy feeling, zero bulk bunching up. The fit felt kinda effortless? Like, it didn’t shift around or ride up annoyingly. Big win.

Tossed it in the wash after – cool with that. Came out still soft and same shape, no sagging or fading (so far!). Huge deal for me.
All in all? Yeah, it’s worth the hype. Key was going up a size from what the chart said for that Comfort Fit. Material lives up – soft and breathes. Crop is flattering, not awkward. Don’t trust the model sizes or the chart alone. Go up one. Saves you the return hassle.
