Okay, so I’ve been dreaming about a white master bathroom for like, forever. Seriously, Pinterest boards full of them. Finally decided to take the plunge and redo ours. It was… a process. Let me tell you!

The Before (Yikes!)
Our old bathroom was straight out of the 90s. Think beige, beige, and more beige. Builder-grade everything. The lighting was awful, making it feel even smaller and dingier. Plus, a giant tub that took up half the room that we never used. We needed change!
The Demolition (So Satisfying!)
First things first, everything had to go. We – and when I say “we,” I mostly mean my husband – spent a weekend smashing things up. It was surprisingly therapeutic, getting rid of all that old stuff. We rented a dumpster, which was totally worth it. Made cleanup way easier.
The Planning (Endless Decisions!)
This part was almost overwhelming. So many choices! We knew we wanted all white, but there are a million shades of white, you know? We spent hours looking at tiles, countertops, paint swatches… It felt like it would never end.
- Tiles: We went with a classic subway tile for the shower walls and a larger marble-look tile for the floor.
- Countertop: After much debate, we chose a white quartz. It’s durable and looks super clean.
- Paint: We picked a bright, crisp white with just a hint of gray.
- Fixtures: Chrome all the way! Simple and timeless.
The Installation (Patience is Key)
We hired a contractor for the tiling and plumbing, thank goodness. I’m all for DIY, but some things are best left to the professionals. Watching them work was fascinating, though. They made it look so easy (it’s not!).
My husband handeled the new vanity, that was straightforward.

The Little Details (Making it Shine)
Once the big stuff was done, it was time for the fun part – the details! New fluffy white towels, some plants (fake, because I kill everything), and a pretty mirror. These little things really made the space feel complete.
The After (Pure Bliss!)
I’m obsessed with how it turned out! It’s bright, airy, and feels so much bigger. Taking a shower in there now feels like a spa day. It was a lot of work, and there were definitely moments of stress, but it was 100% worth it. Now, who wants to come over and see my new bathroom?!
