Alright, so I was on the hunt for a new pair of shoes a while back. My trusty old flats were, let’s just say, past their prime. Totally worn out. I needed something, you know, a bit smart but still comfy enough to actually walk around in all day. Heels were out of the question for what I had in mind. Loafers, I thought, yeah, loafers could be the ticket.
So, I started my search. Mostly online at first, because who has time to hit all the shops? And wow, talk about options! It’s crazy how many shoes are out there. It kinda makes your head spin. But then, I remembered seeing some really nice Michael Kors loafers on someone, and they looked pretty classy. I’ve got a Michael Kors bag that I’ve had for ages, and it’s held up super well, so I figured their shoes might be decent quality too.
I poked around on a few websites, looking specifically for Michael Kors ladies’ loafers. Found a couple of styles that caught my eye. There was this one classic black leather pair, looked really timeless. But then there was another one, a bit more modern, maybe with a different buckle or something. I honestly went back and forth for like, two whole days. You know how it is – you add them to your cart, stare at them, then take them out. Then you go read a million reviews, trying to decide.
Finally, I just had to make a call. I went with the classic black leather ones. Figured, you can’t really go wrong with black, right? They’d match pretty much anything in my closet. So, I took a deep breath and hit the ‘buy’ button. Then came the waiting game, which is always the hardest part for me.
When the package finally showed up, I was genuinely pretty excited. Like a kid, almost. I unboxed them, and yep, they looked just as good in person. That new leather smell, you know? Love that. I slipped them on. My first thought? Hmm, a little snug. Not painfully tight, but definitely on the snug side. I won’t lie, I had a brief moment of panic, thinking, “Oh no, did I get the wrong size?”
But I decided to give them a chance. I wore them around the house for the rest of that evening, just pottering about. And you know what? They started to give, just a tiny bit. Leather’s good like that, it tends to stretch and mold. The next day, I braved wearing them out for a quick trip to the grocery store. Still a bit firm, but definitely feeling better than that first try-on.

And now? After wearing them for a good few weeks, they’re fantastic. Seriously comfortable. They’ve really broken in nicely and sort of shaped to my feet. I can walk around in them for hours, no blisters, no sore spots. They look smart with jeans, and I’ve even worn them with more dressy trousers for work-related stuff. So yeah, all in all, I’m really pleased with how that turned out. It was a bit of a journey, all that looking and deciding, but these Michael Kors loafers? Definitely a solid purchase for me. Makes me wonder if I should have gotten that other pair too, but hey, maybe next time!
