Okay, so I finally got my hands on Le Labo Citron 28, the Seoul city exclusive. It’s been on my radar for a while, and since I am on a trip, I thought it was the perfect time to grab a bottle and do a full-on test.

The Hunt Begins
First things first, I located the Le Labo boutique. Find a store wasn’t too hard. I just find the store location by searching on Google Map.
The First Sniff
Once I was in the store, I asked for Citron 28, The shop assistant was super helpful. They sprayed some on a test strip, and boom! My first impression? Super bright and lemony, but not in a cleaning-product way. It smelled, fresh, and zesty, I would say.
The Skin Test
The test strip is one thing, but the real test is on the skin, right? So, I sprayed it on my wrist. Initially, it was all lemon, all the way. Very, very strong and fresh. I’ll be honest, I was a little worried it would be too much.

The Waiting Game
I walked around for a few hours, letting the fragrance develop. This is where things got interesting.
- After about 30 minutes: The sharp lemon started to calm down.
- After an hour: Some of the other notes started to peek through. I could smell a bit of ginger and maybe some jasmine, giving it some sweetness, just a tad.
- After a few hours: It settled into this really nice, clean, musky scent with a hint of lemon. So, I am sure that it’s not just a one-note wonder.
The Final Decision
After the scent has been tested for some hours, I decided to buy a bottle and I am happy with it. Because It’s definitely a unique citrus fragrance. It’s not overly sweet, and it has a real sophisticated vibe. The lasting power is pretty good, too. I could still smell it on my wrist at the end of the day.
