Okay, so I gotta talk about these Rust Pink Jordan 3s I picked up. It wasn’t like some big plan, you know?

How it Started
I was just scrolling, like you do, probably killing time when I should’ve been doing something else. Saw a picture of these pink Jordans. Now, I’m not usually a ‘pink shoe’ guy, not really. But the Jordan 3 shape? Always liked that one. Classic. And this wasn’t like hot pink or baby pink. They called it ‘Rust Pink’. Looked kinda dusty, muted. Interesting.
Didn’t jump on it right away. Thought about it. Most Jordan 3s I got are the usual colors, you know, black cement, white cement, stuff like that. This felt a bit different. Was I gonna wear pink shoes? Seemed kinda loud maybe. Let it sit for a few days.
Finding Them
Then I decided, what the heck, let’s see if I can even find them. Checked the usual apps, the main sneaker places online. Sold out, mostly. Figures. Saw them on those resale sites, but the prices were stupid. I ain’t paying double for a shoe just ’cause it’s pink, come on.
Almost gave up. Then, I dunno, maybe a week later? Was checking one of the retailer apps again, just randomly refreshing. And boom, my size popped up. Retail price. Couldn’t believe it. Hit ‘buy’ so fast, didn’t even think twice. Felt like I won a mini lottery or something stupid like that.
Getting Hands-On
When the box arrived, I opened it up. First thought: Okay, the pink is definitely pink. But it is that dusty, kinda washed-out look. Not as bright as some pictures made it seem. The nubuck material felt pretty decent, kinda soft. Quality seemed alright, typical Jordan stuff, maybe a glue stain here or there if you look super close, but nothing major.

The hits of orange and that creamy off-white on the midsole and heel tab? That works. It breaks up the pink. Makes it look less like a blob of color.
First try-on:
- Fit was standard Jordan 3. True to size for me.
- Comfort? Eh, it’s a Jordan 3. Not clouds, but wearable. Stiff at first, like always.
- Looked down at my feet. Yeah, they’re pink alright. Still felt a little weird, but also kinda cool. Different.
Wearing Them Out
First time I wore them out, just went to grab coffee. Felt like everyone was looking at my feet. Maybe they were, maybe it was just in my head. Got one comment, some kid said “nice kicks”. Okay, maybe they weren’t that crazy looking.
Wore them a few more times. To the grocery store, hanging out with friends. They definitely get noticed more than my boring black or white shoes. The pink nubuck picks up dirt kinda easily, gotta be careful with that. Wiped them down after each wear, mostly. They started breaking in a bit, getting more comfortable for walking around.
Honestly, they grew on me. That muted pink is kinda versatile in a weird way. Looks good with jeans, black pants, even shorts. It’s a statement, but not screaming loud. More like a confident whisper, you know?

So, Yeah…
Overall? Glad I grabbed them, especially for retail. Was a bit of a process, from seeing them, hesitating, hunting them down, and finally wearing them enough to feel comfortable. They’re not an everyday shoe for me, not by a long shot. But for those times I want something different, something that pops a little without being ridiculous? Yeah, the Rust Pinks do the job. They ended up being a pretty solid pickup, surprisingly.
