So, I’ve been spending a bit of time lately trying to keep up with the Air Max 1s dropping in 2024. It’s become sort of a personal project, you know? Not like I’m some big insider, just a guy who really likes the shoe and doesn’t want to miss out.

It all started pretty simply. I saw some chatter online, maybe a picture here or there, hinting at new stuff coming. You know how it is, gets you curious. So, I decided, right, let’s try and figure out what’s actually planned for this year.
My Process for Tracking
First thing I did was just start searching around. Hopped onto the usual spots where people talk sneakers. You got your forums, some social media feeds – the typical places. Man, the information was all over the place. Some people saying one thing, others saying something totally different. Lots of noise.
I tried to get organized. Started keeping a simple list on my computer, nothing fancy. Just noted down dates I saw mentioned, color descriptions, any little detail. It helped filter things a bit.
Dealing with Rumors
This is the tricky part. Loads of mock-ups and “leaks” that look cool but you have no idea if they’re real. You see a date floating around, get excited, then it changes or just disappears. It’s frustrating sometimes. I learned pretty quick to take everything with a grain of salt until you see something more solid, maybe an official picture or multiple sources saying the same thing.
Here’s basically what I look out for:
- Official announcements (rare early on, but the gold standard)
- Pictures that look legit, not just fan-made drawings
- Multiple reliable sneaker sites reporting the same thing
- Release calendar updates from major shops
Keeping Tabs
So now, it’s mostly about checking in regularly. Maybe once or twice a week, I’ll do a quick scan of my usual sources. See if anything new popped up, update my little list. Sometimes you find a gem, like a clearer photo or a more specific timeframe. Other times, nothing.
There are a few rumored ones for 2024 that have caught my eye, like that supposed retro of an older colorway everyone seems keen on, and maybe some new twists on the design. But again, just waiting to see what actually makes it to the shelves. It’s a waiting game, really.
It’s just part of the hobby, I guess. The hunt for information can be almost as fun as trying to get the shoes themselves. Keeps you engaged. Anyway, that’s my little system, just trying to stay ahead without getting lost in all the speculation. We’ll see what 2024 actually brings for the Air Max 1.
