Okay, let me tell you about how I went about finding some pictures of the 1967 Corvette the other day. It wasn’t anything too complicated, but sometimes you just get an idea in your head, you know?
So, I was just thinking about classic cars, and the ’67 Vette popped into my mind. Such an iconic look. I figured, hey, let’s find some good photos of it. First thing I did was sit down at my computer.
I opened up my web browser, the one I usually use, nothing special. Went straight to the search bar. My first attempt was pretty basic, I just typed in pictures of 1967 corvette. Hit enter and waited to see what popped up.
Got back a whole mess of stuff, as you’d expect. Lots of images right away, but also links to articles, sale listings, videos. Some were good, some were kinda blurry, some were clearly modified cars. I spent a bit just scrolling through, getting a feel for what was out there. Clicked on a few images to see them bigger.
Digging a Little Deeper
After looking through the first few pages, I realized I wanted something maybe a bit more specific. Was I thinking of the coupe or the convertible? I mostly pictured the coupe, that Sting Ray shape. So, I went back to the search bar.
This time I tried typing 1967 Corvette Sting Ray coupe pictures. That actually helped filter things down a bit. Fewer convertibles, fewer random bits and pieces. Started seeing more of the specific body style I had in my head.
I also thought about different places online where car folks hang out. Remembered a couple of old car forums I used to visit. So, I opened a new tab and went to one of them. Had to use their own search feature, typed in ‘1967 Corvette’ again. Sometimes you find photos posted by actual owners in forum threads, which can be pretty neat. Found a few discussions with pictures attached.
Gathering the Goods
As I found pictures I liked, the process was super simple:
- Right-click on the picture.
- Selected ‘Save image as…’ or whatever my browser calls it.
- Made a simple folder on my desktop, named it something like ’67 Vette Pics’.
- Saved the images I liked into that folder.
Did this for maybe ten or fifteen minutes, grabbing shots from different angles. Side views, front views, interior shots if I found good ones. Didn’t need a huge collection, just wanted some nice examples to look at.
It was interesting seeing how many variations there were, even in just the photos. Different colors, wheels, some looked perfectly restored, others looked like they were driven daily. Took a bit of clicking around to find clean shots of mostly stock-looking cars, which was my main goal.
And that was pretty much it. Got a nice little collection of photos saved. Satisfied that little urge to revisit a classic design. It’s amazing how you can just pull up images of almost anything these days with a few clicks. Took a little bit of sifting, but I found what I was looking for. What a beautiful car that ’67 is.
