So, I’ve always wanted to check out Augusta, Georgia. You know, it’s got that famous Masters Golf Tournament and all that history. I finally made it happen, and let me tell you, it was quite the trip.

First things first, I started by figuring out when to go. I mean, Augusta’s weather can be a bit wild, so I aimed for a time with decent temperatures. I packed my bags, jumped in the car, and hit the road. Driving in, I noticed how green everything was – definitely a change of scenery for me.
Once I got settled in my hotel, I immediately wanted to see what the city’s known for. Of course, I had to visit the Augusta National Golf Club. Even though the Masters wasn’t on, just being there was something special. I walked around, took some pictures, and soaked in the atmosphere. It’s crazy to think about all the legendary golfers who’ve played there.
After that, I made my way to the Augusta Riverwalk. It’s this nice path along the Savannah River. I took a long stroll, enjoying the views and the peaceful vibe. There were families, joggers, and even some folks fishing. It was a great way to unwind after the drive.
Next, I was feeling a bit hungry, so I decided to find some local food. I asked around, and everyone kept mentioning this place called the Frog Hollow Tavern. Apparently, it’s the spot for some good Southern cooking. I went there, ordered some fried chicken and collard greens, and man, it was delicious! Seriously, some of the best comfort food I’ve ever had.
Since I’m a bit of a history buff, I spent the next day exploring the historic side of Augusta. I visited the Augusta Museum of History and learned a ton about the city’s past, from its founding to the Civil War and beyond. The exhibits were really well done, and I even saw some cool artifacts from back in the day.

Then, I headed over to the Boyhood Home of President Woodrow Wilson. It’s this old house where he lived as a kid. I took a guided tour and got to see how people lived back then. It felt like stepping back in time, you know?
