Alright, let’s talk about this whole ‘all white Porsche collection’ thing I’ve got going on. It wasn’t exactly planned like some grand strategy, you know? It kinda just… happened. Started small, like these things often do.
I remember getting my first one. Wasn’t even thinking about a ‘collection’ back then. I just really wanted a specific Porsche model, and the one I found, the one that felt right, happened to be white. Carrara White, I think they called it. Got it home, cleaned it up. Looked sharp. Really sharp. Stood out in a way I liked.
Then, maybe a year or so later, I got the itch again. Started looking around, browsing listings, the usual stuff. Saw another Porsche I was interested in, a different model this time. And wouldn’t you know it, a really clean white one popped up. Seemed like fate, almost. So, I went for it. Pulled the trigger. Now I had two. Both white. Parked them next to each other and thought, “Huh, that looks kinda cool.”
The Hunt Begins (Sort Of)
That’s when the idea started to properly form. It wasn’t a conscious decision at first, more like a subconscious pull. When I started thinking about a third, I found myself specifically filtering searches for white. It became a challenge, almost a game.
- Finding the right model is hard enough.
- Finding it with the right options is tougher.
- Finding all that in white? That narrows the field considerably.
Some models were easier than others. Plenty of white Macans and Cayennes out there, seems like a popular choice for the daily drivers. But try finding an older, specific 911 variant or maybe a Boxster Spyder in just the right shade of white, with the specs you want, not messed with too much… yeah, that took patience. Lots of dead ends. Lots of scrolling through ads. Flew out to see a couple that looked good in photos but weren’t quite right in person. You learn what to look for.
Sticking to White
People ask why only white. “Don’t you like Guards Red? Or Miami Blue?” Sure, they’re great colors. Porsche has some amazing palettes. But there’s something about white. It’s clean, it shows the lines of the car so well, especially on Porsches. And honestly, once I had a few, it felt wrong to break the pattern. It became the thing. My thing.
Keeping them clean, though? That’s the flip side. White shows everything. Dust, dirt, road grime, bug splatters. It’s practically a part-time job just keeping them looking presentable. Lots of washing, waxing, detailing. You get really familiar with microfiber towels and different kinds of soap. It’s work, but it’s satisfying work when you see them all lined up, gleaming.
The Collection Today
So now, there they are. Took a while to get here. Each one has a bit of a story attached to the search. It’s not the biggest collection, not the most valuable probably, but it’s mine. And seeing them all together, all sharing that clean white finish, just feels right. It feels complete, in a way. Though, you know how it is… there’s always that one more model you start thinking about…
