My Trip to Nespresso at Old Orchard

Alright, so I had to make a run to the Nespresso spot over at Old Orchard Mall the other day. My stash of Arpeggio was looking seriously low, and frankly, I had this big bag of used capsules piling up. You know how it is. Gotta recycle them somewhere, and the mall store is usually the easiest drop-off point for me.

So, I drove over there. Parking at Old Orchard wasn’t too bad this time, which was a relief. Walked through the mall, found the Nespresso store pretty easily, it’s right there in a busy spot. Stepped inside.

It looked like they rearranged things a bit since my last visit. Seemed slicker, maybe? A staff person greeted me almost immediately. Asked if I needed help. I told them I was just grabbing some sleeves and dropping off recycling.

Finding the Pods

I headed straight for the wall of capsules. Man, they have a lot. Always feels a bit much, scrolling through all those colors and names. I knew what I wanted though:

  • Grabbed a few sleeves of Arpeggio, my go-to.
  • Picked up a sleeve of Ristretto because why not.
  • Thought about trying something new, looked at the limited editions, but decided against it this time. Just stick to the plan.

Finding them wasn’t hard, they have it organized okay. Just grabbed the boxes off the shelf thing.

The Recycling Bit

Then I remembered the bag of used pods I was lugging around. Found the recycling drop point near the entrance. It’s just a big bin, basically. Dumped my bag in there. Pretty simple, no fuss. Glad to get that done.

Checking Out

Took my chosen sleeves up to the counter. The same person who greeted me was there. They scanned everything. Asked if I wanted a coffee sample. I said no thanks, just wanted to get going. Paid up. They bagged my stuff. The whole checkout process was quick, I’ll give them that. No messing around.

So yeah, I walked out with my coffee supply replenished and the recycling bag finally gone. It was a pretty straightforward trip. Got in, got what I needed, got out. The store looks nice, staff were fine, not pushy. Just another errand ticked off the list, really. Did the job.
