Digging Through the Closet (and Old Photos)
First things first, I raided my closet. And when I say raided, I mean I went deep. I’m talking about the boxes in the attic, the back of the wardrobe – places where clothes go to retire. I was on a mission to find anything that screamed “2010.”
- Found: A pair of super-stretchy skinny jeans. Score!
- Found: An oversized, brightly colored graphic tee. Double score!
- Found: A denim mini-skirt that I’m pretty sure I wore to every party in high school. Yikes, but also, yes!
- Found: A pair of Ugg-like boots… the fuzzy kind. Essential.
- Missing: A giant, chunky knit scarf. I can’t Find it.
Then, I looked through a ton of old photos. You know, the ones you cringe at but also secretly love? That helped me remember some of the key trends. I used to have hair that was much longer, and my friends helped me with the restoration.
Putting It All Together
Okay, so with my pile of “vintage” finds, I started experimenting. I tried the skinny jeans with the graphic tee, tucked in of course. Then I added the denim skirt over the jeans – because layering was EVERYTHING back then, even if it made zero sense.

The Final Verdict
