My Trip to See the Big Tree
Okay, so I heard folks talking about the Christmas tree at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi again this year. They always do one, but people were saying it was pretty something. Decided, right, gotta go see it myself.
Got in the car, drove over there. It wasn’t too bad getting to the Palace, traffic was okay for a change. Finding a spot to park, well, that took a minute, place was kinda busy, you know? Lots of people had the same idea, I guess.
Walked into the main entrance. Man, that place is huge. Gold everywhere, big ceilings. You feel kinda small walking through there. Had to walk quite a bit inside, following the signs and the general flow of people. Lots of looking around, trying to spot where the tree actually was.
Finding the Famous Tree
Then, bam, you turn a corner, and there it is. Right in the middle of one of those big dome areas. And yeah, it’s big. Really tall, goes way up.
- Loads of lights, like, tons of them. All sparkly.
- Decorations were massive too. Big baubles, shiny things, ribbons.
- Definitely looked expensive, like everything else in that hotel.
Stood there for a bit, just taking it in. Lots of people were doing the same thing. Taking pictures, selfies, you know the drill. It felt pretty festive, gotta say. Music was playing, that soft Christmas kind. It was crowded, sure, but not like, pushy crowded. More like everyone just milling around, enjoying the sight.
Was it Worth It?
Spent maybe twenty minutes just looking at the tree and the decorations around it. Didn’t get a coffee or anything, the queues looked long and honestly, I just came for the tree.
Walked back out, got the car, headed home. Yeah, it was worth the drive. It’s one of those things you kinda gotta see once if you’re around Abu Dhabi during Christmas time. It’s impressive, no doubt about it. A proper fancy Christmas tree in a proper fancy place. Glad I went and checked it off the list. Simple as that.
