So, I was scrolling online the other day, just killing time, you know? And bam, I see this flash of gold fendi stuff. Looked pretty sharp, gotta admit. Mostly jewelry, I think, some bags maybe had gold bits too.
Naturally, I got curious. Started clicking around, ended up looking at their official stuff. Just browsing, seeing what’s what. Man, the prices! Not exactly pocket change, let me tell you.
Thinking About Shiny Things
It really got me thinking though. About luxury stuff in general. I remember years ago, I was saving up for this really expensive watch. Not Fendi, something else, but same idea. Thought it would make me feel, I don’t know, successful?
- Worked extra hours for it.
- Cut back on going out.
- Basically obsessed over it for months.
Then, just as I was about to pull the trigger, my old car decided to completely die on me. Like, kaput. Needed a new engine or basically scrap it. Suddenly, that watch money looked a whole lot different. It wasn’t about looking successful anymore, it was about getting to work.
Ended up using all that saved cash, plus some more, just to get a reliable used car. Wasn’t glamorous, wasn’t flashy, but it got me where I needed to go. And honestly? Felt way better than wearing some fancy watch probably would have.
So yeah, seeing that gold fendi stuff brought that memory back. It looks nice, sure. Real nice. But these days, I find myself putting my energy, and my cash, into things that, well, do something, you know? Like experiences, or tools for my hobbies, or just making sure the bills are paid without stressing.
Maybe one day I’ll grab something fancy just for the heck of it. But for now? I just appreciate looking at the pictures online and then closing the tab. Practicality wins again, I guess. Still, it’s fun to look!
