My Trip to Salon Raffaele Nina
Okay, so I needed a haircut. Like, really needed one. My usual place was booked solid for weeks, you know how it is. I was walking around downtown, feeling pretty shaggy, and saw this sign: Salon Raffaele Nina. Never heard of it, but the name sounded kinda fancy, maybe? I dunno. Figured, what the heck, hair grows back, right?

So, I pushed the door open and went inside. It wasn’t super busy, which was nice. Just a couple of people getting their hair done and someone sweeping up. The place smelled like that typical salon smell – chemicals and hairspray, but not too overpowering. Looked clean enough.
A woman came over, maybe Nina? She didn’t say her name. Just asked what I needed. I told her, “Just a trim, clean it up around the ears and back, nothing crazy.” She nodded, pointed me to a chair. Didn’t have to wait long at all.
She got to work pretty quick. No big chat, which honestly, sometimes I prefer. Just the snip-snip of the scissors. She was efficient, I’ll give her that. Didn’t try to sell me any fancy products or treatments. Just focused on the cut.
- Washed my hair first – standard stuff.
- Then the cutting part. She seemed to know what she was doing.
- Checked it a few times, asked if the length was okay.
The whole thing probably took like, twenty minutes, maybe thirty tops. She spun the chair around, showed me the back with a mirror. Looked alright. Exactly what I asked for – just cleaned up. Can’t complain about that.
Paid at the counter. Wasn’t too expensive, pretty average for a cut around here. The person at the counter, maybe Raffaele? Also didn’t say. Just took my card, gave me the receipt. Said “Have a good day.”
So, yeah. That was my experience at Salon Raffaele Nina. Nothing spectacular happened, good or bad. It was just… a haircut. Got the job done. Sometimes that’s all you need, you know? Would I go back? Maybe, if my regular spot is busy again. It was decent enough.
