Unboxing Fruity Pebbles Dunks: A First Look and Review

by Rod Nichol

Alright, let’s talk about them fruity pebbles dunks, ya know, the shoes. I seen ’em on the internet, all colorful and whatnot. Kids these days, they like all sorts of crazy things, not like back in my day, we had plain ol’ shoes, sturdy ones, lasted forever.

So, these fruity pebbles dunks, they’re named after some cereal, I heard. LeBron James, that basketball fella, he likes ’em, or liked ’em when he was a young’un, I guess. Now they made shoes outta it, imagine that! Shoes lookin’ like a breakfast bowl. Crazy, I tell ya.

I seen pictures, lots of colors, like a rainbow exploded on ’em. Red, yellow, blue, all mixed up. Makes my head spin just lookin’ at ’em. They say it’s a “collaboration,” that’s what them city folks call it when two big companies get together to make somethin’. Like Nike and that cereal company, I reckon.

  • They got this swoosh thing on the side, that’s the Nike mark, everyone knows that.
  • And the colors, oh boy, the colors! Like I said, a rainbow.
  • Some folks are collectin’ ’em, like they’re precious jewels or somethin’. Spendin’ good money on shoes, can you believe it?

Now, I heard there’s fake ones out there too. Fake dunks, they call ’em. Apparently, you gotta look close to tell the difference. Something about the logo, the little swoosh thing, being too thick or too close to the bottom. And the stitchin’, they say, it’s different on the real ones. Thicker and better, or somethin’ like that. Me, I wouldn’t know the difference, a shoe’s a shoe to me.

These shoes, they ain’t just for playin’ basketball, no sir. Them skater kids, they like ’em too. Apparently, Nike made a special kind just for them, with a different bottom, I guess, for grippin’ the skateboard better. They call ’em low-tops, mid-tops, high-tops… so many different kinds, makes my head hurt tryin’ to keep up.

People are makin’ videos about these shoes, unboxin’ ’em, showin’ ’em off. “Unboxing new new kicks,” they say. Kicks? That’s what they call shoes now? Land sakes, the things these youngsters come up with. And they talk about “budget fruity pebbles,” meaning the cheaper ones, I guess. Everything’s about money, ain’t it?

Unboxing Fruity Pebbles Dunks: A First Look and Review

They say these fruity pebble dunks first came out a long time ago, back in 2006, but nobody could buy ‘em then. Just for LeBron, I suppose. Now they’re sellin’ ’em to everyone, and folks are goin’ crazy for ’em. Line up outside stores, clickin’ away on their computers, just to get a pair of shoes. It’s a different world, I tell ya.

LeBron James, that fella sure is popular. He’s got his name on all sorts of things, and now these shoes. Must be nice to be famous like that. But me, I’ll stick to my old, comfy shoes. These colorful things, they’re not for me. Too flashy, too much goin’ on. But hey, if folks like ’em, that’s their business, I ain’t judgin’.

Just seems like a lot of fuss over a pair of shoes, if you ask me. But then again, nobody ever asks me nothin’ about these fancy things. I’m just an old lady, what do I know? But I can see with my own two eyes that these Nike Dunk Low shoes are a big deal to some folks. So there it is, my two cents on them fruity pebbles dunks. More trouble than they’re worth, if you ask me.
