Okay, here we go! My take on the Prada Beauty Set – a total experiment, lemme tell ya!
So, I saw this Prada Beauty set online, right? And I was like, “Okay, that’s kinda boujee, but I’m intrigued.” I mean, Prada’s Prada, even in the makeup world. Decided to bite the bullet and snagged one. Here’s how it all went down.
First off, the unboxing. The packaging? Fancy. Like, REALLY fancy. You know the deal. I was already feeling a little extra just holding the box. Gotta give them props for the presentation. They nailed it.
The Eyeshadow Palette
Okay, first thing I did was dive into the eyeshadows. The colors looked pretty good in the pan – some neutrals, some shimmers, you know, the usual. I grabbed my favorite eyeshadow brush (a fluffy one) and started blending. The pigment was…decent. Not crazy amazing, but buildable. I had to layer it a bit to get the color payoff I wanted. Blending wasn’t a nightmare, thankfully, but it wasn’t effortless either. Took a bit of work. I went for a simple everyday look, and it turned out alright. Nothing groundbreaking, but wearable. By the end of the day it did fade. Nothing to write home about.
The Lipstick
Next up: the lipstick. The shade I got was a nude-ish pink. Again, packaging was on point. The formula felt creamy when I applied it. It glided on smoothly, which was nice. Color payoff was good too. It wasn’t drying, which is a major plus for me ’cause my lips are always chapped. It didn’t last through my morning coffee though. Needed a touch-up after that. It transfers like crazy, so be warned. But overall, not bad. Good everyday lipstick.
The Blush
The blush was my least favorite, honestly. The color looked pretty in the pan (a peachy pink), but it was kinda sheer. I had to pile it on to actually see any color on my cheeks. And even then, it faded pretty quickly. Maybe it’s just my skin tone or whatever, but it just didn’t do it for me. Used a real techniques blush brush, still didn’t look too amazing.
The Foundation
Finally, the foundation! I tried a shade that looked very similar to my shade in the bottle, but upon initial application it seemed a little too light. After blending though, it seemed to adjust to my skin a little more than expected. I used a sponge and blended the foundation out. The foundation is definitely buildable! It is a lighter coverage foundation but with a little bit of building, the foundation looks smooth on the skin and gives a very “your skin but better” look.
Final Thoughts
Overall? The Prada Beauty set is…okay. It’s not mind-blowing, but it’s not terrible either. You’re definitely paying for the name and the fancy packaging. The eyeshadows are decent, the lipstick is nice, the blush is meh. Would I repurchase? Probably not. There are other brands out there that offer better quality for the price. But hey, it was a fun experiment, and now I can say I tried Prada makeup. Plus, the packaging looks pretty on my vanity. Worth it? Maybe. Depends on how much you value the Prada name. For me? I’ll stick to my other go-to brands.
